I definitely liked the e92 m3 vorsteiner kit much much better, but hey- still a decent kit.

I would take a bet that the stock M4 wins. If your pushing your tires out, 8 and 14 inches you are seriously changing the geometry of the suspension, ability to roll into a corner, dampening, etc... I think you'd need a lot of new suspension components for this to handle near stock. Building a wide-body race car requires more than spacers, fenders and new wheels.

With that said, I like what it is. I just wish it was half what it is.
True, I think if your building an M wide body....ya got money for new control arms. Do they make wider arms for any M vehicles that are actually functional? But your not changing the rest of the car. Your merely hanging fenders out there. Not much change in terms of center of gravity or weight transition in a corner. The more square a track stance is....the more stable. Long rectangular stances like those in Corvettes and Camero's are great for a straight line drag but terrible for a canyon run. I'll stand by the wide body here on a track.

Saw the Marina Blue one twice in person (Houston Auto Show and Austin MFest), I sorta like it but the rear is def. a overkill to me. Something just doesn't flow, can't quite point out what it is though.

I don't see how the wheels are functional... I'm willing to bet the 20x13.5 rears with 345 tires are at least 10 lbs heavier than the OEM 19's at each corner.

YUK. The M4 is already ugly. This is the definition of bad to worse. M3 looks way better than the M4 but why do this.......

Great job yet again Vorsteiner!

I actually love what you've done here. The E90 GTRS3 kit was legendary and still my favorite of them all.

For those confused on why the price is what it is, I actually think the price sounds about right. Mainly because you've got forged wheels included and those are worth at least $7-$10K with tires if not more. The rest is carbon fibre parts.

Can't wait to see more pics!

I'm cognizant of these being other people's cars, that taste is entirely subjective and that some people like to be as ostentatious as possible; however I can't help feeling like a factory M4 is infinitely more appealing.

Great effort though, as this is truly a massive undertaking even if it's not visually appealing to me (personally).
I'm still looking for a cogent response to my original post, please oblige.

I guarantee a stock bodied car would put down better track times. Most of these very wide bodied street cars are slower than their bodied counterparts. They are more for show and street.

I saw the yellow and the tag black vorsteiner wide bodied cars at bimmerfest this year and they look quite good in person. Both installs were very clean and the CF weave looked excellent.

So you think two cars the same in every aspect except the wide body would favor the stock car on a track? I'm just asking not trying to be a dick......have you been on a track with a car bud. Then have you been on that same track with that same car after suspension or traction improvements? If the wide body car only had 25mm spacers or more....it's still gonna handle better dude. 2"of stance all around may sound minuscule to you but it would yield seconds different in times. I guess we'll have to wait for Topgear or some show to definitively answer this.
