Remus + AA mid pipe height

Hey guys

I attached some pictures. I feel the system is hanging low but understand it needs clearance.

How does this look to you?

Had this installed by a local shop. Considering having the them raise it a bit (I understand this is possible) while they go back to retighten everything.

Thanks for your input.

That’s not low, it’s hanging. Not how it should look especially with a diffuser.

Thanks for all the input guys!

Mike - thank you for the pictures. I've called the shop and will have them make adjustments Monday. These pictures will be a great reference point.

I'll also upload pictures after adjustments for future reference.

At the shop this morning and we're looking at these clearances when evaluating if we can raise the height half an inch.

Recommendation was not to raise as we would be potentially touching. They had mentioned they played around with this quite a bit. If that's the case, I'm not thrilled with the fitment.

However, I like the fitment I'm seeing in the above pictures so what am I missing?

Any thoughts or comments?

Thanks!

Should look oem once installed. Don’t know how there’s an issue with this .

I agree - with all the Remus set ups on this forum.. didn't seem like it would be an issue.

Any chance there's an issue with the actual muffler and its angles?

Adjust it on the midpipe clamps. Tweak it up.
This also means midpipe will lower. Make sure you got spacers installed in the cross brace to lower it and allow for midpipe to not touch.

Also - do not ever use that shop anymore. Any competent mechanic should know what to do

Maybe this will help - look around 2:45 what I mean. Imagine adjusting it there.

Update: I took the advice above, went to a different shop from a referral.

Within the hour, they had it fixed. My understanding is they twisted the 2 clamps (location referred in the video above) giving them more room to adjust the connection to the mid pipe and angle everything a quarter of an inch up.

I'm happy with the results! Install unfortunately cost me more than it should but needed it done right.

Side note not related to fitment - the sound of the exhaust has really settled in nicely after some driving. Much more smooth.

Agreed it looks much better. I've learned that you do have to loosen several pieces and then rotate the pipes to gain upward angle at the muffler connection

Glad it worked out in the end.

Big +1 on never going back to that original mechanic! Exhaust install is supposed to be simple. I can't imagine what they would do if faced with something challenging!
