Can CCB’s warp...?

I didn’t think they could but as of lately when braking I get a loud groaning noise (not the typical high pitched squeal) and can feel it in the steering wheel. Definitely coming from the front wheels of the car and not the rear. It oddly seems to come and go but I haven’t quite figured out exactly what factors are occurring when it does happen. Any ideas?

Also forgot to note when stopping, the typical high pitched squeal isn’t constant. Almost sounds like it’s hitting uneven on the rotor and only squeaks in certain spots. Last time it was in the shop they said my pads and rotors are nearly new and the car says I’ve got 120k left on the front and 140k left on the rear which was about 4K miles ago. I visually inspected them and see nothing out of the ordinary.

sometimes run them hard to get them hot and see if things smooth out and some of the squeaking goes away. Mine are noisy when I do a lot of commuting but when I hit the mountains they work harder and get quiet for awhile.......

I’ve tried this. At best they get quiet for maybe an hour and then right back to where it was. I’m just curious as to what the loud groaning noises are. It’s mush louder than the high pitch squeaking.

I had that same groaning noise you're describing with my CCBs. It seems to happen only the last 10mph or so of braking when slowing down.

Replaced both front rotors and the noise completely went away.

I’ve never had squeals or noises from my CCB’s, only sound I’ve heard is braking hard with the window down you get a whooooosh sound but it’s really quiet.

This is almost 10k miles in.
