Both cars have a really ugly aspect....

G80 grills are bad...

F80 exhaust is the worst note I've ever heard...

Makes me feel a bit better. My car is finally in the shop this week was able to drive and start my car before I knew it was a camshaft code so I'm praying for no damage.

S55freak sorry to hear. Was it only spun crank hub or did you have engine damage?

I'm running catless downpipes and secondary cat delete, VRSF intakes, MHD stage 1. Planning on having a custom tune and dyno session on Friday.

I'm terrified now after reading through all of the crankhub stories. Should I stay at stage 1 until I can get the keyed crankhub fix? Or is it up to me... I've never been a gambling man.

Don't gamble, upgrade the hub. I would recommend a VTT capture plate as well while you are at it. Then enjoy the car and tune it as you wish.

Just an update: hub did in fact spin a slight amount. A few degrees off timing. Compression test came back good and now having the Insane Performance one piece installed with CBC.

Do the hub to be safe if you're doing a custom tune, and if going E85 then definitely. Always add the CBC when doing any hub fix. This pair protects from bolt back-out and and also washer spin.
