Question Market F80 values?

I am curious what folks think values are doing right now. It looks like the trend is positive for the F80.

Does anyone have access to post the last month of Mannheim data on F80 ZCPs?

Thanks

I was wondering also how we think the G80 release is going to influence values with the market potentially getting flooded with leased f80s

Market is always flooded with BMW's (M and otherwise)

Despite what enthusiasts on here say... the G8X will drop the F8X in value. People just want new/best of the best in the auto world.. the enthusiasts always make up a small percentage of the base.

The only models I could see holding onto some value are Manual F80's, or M3CS's. Throw the M4 GTS in there too.

A clean 2015+ F80 M3 with around 40,000 miles or less will draw $40k+ at a minimum no problem.

Don’t forget individual color or any limited variation M3’s and M4’s, comp Pak, and M4CS. Also any LCI example with the headlights.

And any low-mile example should hold as well. The CF roof is another desirable option, it’s something that needs to be protected and preserved from damage, that’s one thing that can ding value if it has noticeable damage. Crankhub sorted is another plus to buyers.

You also tend to see the majority of the high horsepower builds use DCT, because it’s sometimes better depending on the exact build.

Thanks for the Mannheim data! Very helpful.

With regards to prices dropping quickly, the G80 won't actually show up for many more months... and it will compete with the RS5 etc for new car buyers. Used car buyers are a different buying demographic fundamentally looking for more bang for the buck.

Case in point - you might want my F80 w sticker of 83k for 50-55k, but a new G80 will be 80k+ with similar equipment.

Pork bellies and orange juice are trading slightly less than m3s right now.

That's actually a myth that new versions of a car always drop the value of the old one. It's normally just regular old depreciation.

Uhm.. got some proof to that statement because Manheim trends dont back it up. . Maybe specific enthusiast spec builds are not effected. Manual, individual, etc.

To the thread in general. No way would I buy an F8x right now. The market will adjust back to pre Covid and you will lose 15-20% when it does.

If I had an F80 and was on the fence of selling. Now is the time.

They don't drop - never have. You might have an exception here or there, but they simply don't drop off a cliff like everyone says.

Manheim stats say your wrong. As asked any stats to back this up? I worked at Manheim for over 10 years running the virtual auctions...

If you're in market for a new car of course wait for G80

That said; if I could get a 6 speed F80 CS brand new with a sunroof I'd buy that at a discount for sure

To bad no such car even exists

Pre Covid adjustment would mean go up, no?

Market this, market that, change in this, 15% of that, save on this wait for that.

If I have the money to by a brand new G80 with a six speed and sunroof I'm buying one.

Grill and price be damn 💰

No, I would expect pricing to drop. Most cars right now are way overpriced.

New cars aren't the problem. So you should be fine.

I was in the same boat when I got my brand new F80 when they launched. Good feeling.

I was wondering if you could display the same info for a 2018 M3 from Mannheim. My lease is up in Nov. Wonder if I should buy at 44k+tax+dealer fee or just return. Thank you
