Should we buy a 125,000 mile F82 M4? Evolve F8x Buyers Guide
The values of F8x M3/M4's are dropping - You can now pick one up in the UK for £20,000! But with this comes certain problems, one of them being higher mileage. After running our E92 M3 High Mileage project we wanted to do similar on the F8x platform, as we think they are starting to be an incredible value proposition. But is it the deal of the century or buyer beware? We take a look at this F82 M4 with 125,000 miles on the clock, sharing some advice on what we look out for when buying a car, and how we carry out our vehicle inspection. -------- Spoiler Alert! This is actually my M4, I've had it for a few months now as a daily driver and I'm looking forward to getting more familiar with the platform and taking a look at these cars from an owners perspective. I'm sure most of you will remember our Verde Mantis F80 M3 build, that was a brand new car. So it's going to be interesting to see how our experience differs with this 125,000 mile F82 M4, and maintaining/modifying it in 2024 with the F8x now being a 10 year old platform. |

Exciting series, I enjoyed the high-mile E92 videos! Going to watch it in a bit.
I'm now on almost 60k, 50 of which under my belt, and I'm now starting to get paranoid! Well, the diff has shit the bed already. There's a weird humming noise when the engine is cold; some say it's the pulleys, idk, the car is in storage over the winter but need to look into it before the season starts. But I'm hopefully never getting rid of the car.

Well maintained and kept stock these cars will have no issues. I had an e93 with almost 100k on the clock and no issues except the throttle actuator failing and known issue.
