Bavsound Ghost woofers

I purchased Bavsound Ghost woofers from San Diego, I followed their instructions on how to adjust them. Note they say it takes 12 hours of playing to break them in. Im very disappointed in them In fact I removed them and put my factory speakers back in which has deeper richer bass I listen to trap music, Bavsound woofers just dont get it done.

Installing the subs by themselves isn't worthwhile, as they demand a bit more power to get going...and by that point your mids and trebles are starting to distort.

Bavsound Underseat Woofer is Morel P.P.8

So apparently these Bavsound Underseat Woofers are rebranded Morel P.P.8.
This gives me some confidence in them because I regard Seas and Morel and the best speaker components manufacturers to date. I think they are overpriced by about $200! the consumer bears the burden of exclusive licensing at Bavsound.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Morel-P-P-8...cAAOSwm7RZnb4i

Check out all the photos and you will see it is the same driver, and probably would be $188 if Bavsound did not acquire rights. I feel the enclosure is better suited for 6 inch woofers, as they deliver strong midbass from that volume, so I will be using adapter rings and probably getting some morels to go with the ones I have in the doors.

You're missing the biggest selling point of the Bavsound IMO. The best part is that they are plug and play, no modification and can be installed easily by almost anyone, retaining the OEM look/fitment, etc. Yes there are probably better speakers, and at a better price like you mention, but if you want good speakers AND a simple p-n-p install that retains all the OEM fitment, then you go Bavsound.

I pulled my stock subs out today and added dynomate to the sub box and under it.

Unfortuniatly, I still hear rattling. Not sure if its the rocker or the under tray below the sub box. But it sounds like shit.

Curious if anyone has sealed the box so the air doesn't blow out into the rocker arm area?

The rocker cavity is part of the enclosure.

Its a strange design. It not really open and its not really closed. It kind of like a leaky box...

Oh well. I tried amping my stock subs today as I had a trunk sub already and the harness to directly wire my underseat subs if I wanted too. Since I removed my truck sub because of all the rattles, I thought I would try amping the stuck subs.

It sounded pretty good. Much MUCH louder. But I just tried it for a few minutes and went back to stock.

I wired the speakers in parallel to lower the ohm from 7.2. But Im scared to try it long term. Id rather get new sub speakers in 4 ohm and use the amp then.

Has anyone tried polyfill in the sub enclosures? I think I might try that today. I cant stand the fact I cant wash my car and listen to the radio without all these rocker rattles.

The underseat 8" subs port into the outside rocker arm on the side of your car.

The sub enclosure is plastic and below where it mounts under the seat, there is also another plastic like tray the sub sits ontop of. If you unbolt your seats and remove the sub enclosure (its like 2 bolts and very easy to remove) you will see what Im talking about.

I dyno mated under the enclosure and the tray/pan below it and STILL hear it.

But what I am hearing appears to more from the port blowing into the rocker area.

Someone else said they tried sealing there box with filler foam to seal the port and didnt like it. I t But I am tempted to try poly fill to slow the air down and see if it helps.

My E92's didnt rattle like this. My F10 didnt rattle like this. My F82 didnt rattle like this. But man, this F80 is just RATTLE city!

I just removed both subs and added some polyfill to the mouth of the sub enclosure which feeds into the rocker arm cavity. NO MORE RATTLES!

This is with stock speakers BTW.

update -
added poly to the inside of the rail, mouth of the sub box and some inside the sub box. the rattle is gone but i've lost some bass respone. going to remove the poly from the sub box and see how it sounds after that. assume i added too much poly thus reducing the volume of air in the box.
