Mineral White F80 to Smurf Blue Viynl Wrap (Gloss Light Blue)

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Hey guys!

Because of this stay at home order / quarantine, business has slowed down a bit so I finally had some time to do what I always wanted to do: stress out and question my decisions in life...haha JK! I decided to viynl wrap my car! Weee

I bought the material and supplies and geared myself by watching YouTube videos. I then started this project last Friday and finished this past Sunday. Took me about 9 days, working on one or two panels a day along with taking the car apart. In total I think I spent about 40-50 hours on this project.

Got progressively better towards the end though.

My car is a smurf now!

I'd like to thank Amazon for having one day prime delivery because I ran out of supplies. Next, I'd like to thank my hands and back for enduring the pain of being hunched over applying this blue sticker on my car. I also like to thank the countless mosquitos that bit me during this week of torture ().

Never again.

PS. I hate bumpers.

Lol. You ended up with a YMB car.
Kudos to you!

Can you share the film used, links and supplies?
I’d love to attempt this to apply a matte sheen to my existing car.

So if you have travel size shampoo bottles laying around and wrapped them with carbon fiber sticker, they can be used to fill the gap on the eBay V-Style rear diffuser.

Thanks for the kind words guys! Definitely one of the hardest car related things I’ve ever done but pretty rewarding in the end!

I’ll post some observations, material list and costs in a detailed post manana! But if you’ve ever been on the fence, you should just try it. You could only research and study so much until you actually get your hands dirty to really experience it!

It's definitely not for every body. Doing my part to share with the community.

It's a free country and we are all entitled to our own opinions, freedom of speech, and I expected bimmerpost to probably be one of the toughest crowds out there.

Again, letting folks know a new option exists. I like it.

And here I was proud about tackling the M-performance CF splitters and lip install on mine today...touché OP! Sounds super tedious, but in the end looks great!
