Very dangerous and harmful to the car's hand brake system....That is why real drifters have dual calipers setup at the rear in order to get a hydraulic hand brake system. That will lock up the rear wheel much more effectively and no harm to the stock cable hand brake.

I am not a drifter but I have never had a problem with any rear brake system from dragging the rear end. Not as controlled as a pro car but it still can be quite affective.

Too much abuse will likely to cause cable to snap

However, the more one uses the handbrake, the less likely it is to rust and seize in place.

Please. What I tried to say, is if one want to really drift using hand brake, one should really get a hydro hand brake like every pro drift car has.

What this BMW ad trying to demonstrate is how easy is to drift m4.They really don't have to use hand brake at all to drift. More throttle will do the job. They showing hand brake to drift is very misleading for naive viewers.

It's not an instructional video. Its actually just a Penzoil promotion. It turns out that promotional material isn't necessarily meant to be a 100% reproduction of real life.

Also, the paddles are on the wheel, so isn't it possible that it's easier to shift the car with the gear lever while turning which is the case in some scenes. I know I shift with the gear lever to second on many turns around town. This exaggerated but the whole thing is.

Not sure, but the Viper ends with how are you at exercising demons then the Driver gets a Demon. At the end of that one he says How are you at the 'Ring, then we get the M4.
M4 video begins with a text saying "last job" he then throws it out in the end, to which we read "you're not the only one. Perhaps meaning, new driver which equals more videos.
Or you're not the only one who's good at the 'Ring, another 'Ring video to follow with another car.
