M Rental Fleet @ BMW Welt

Rented an M4 Competition from the Welt this morning for a blast on the Autobahn and ended up finding some really cool twisty scenic roads about an hour outside Munich. Unfortunately it was raining the whole time, so we couldn't go flat out, but the car felt super solid, always sure-footed until you tickled the accelerator, then it would light up the rears in every gear up to 3rd!

When we picked up the car, I was surprised to see all the M2 & M4, of which there were many, all had the competition package! So many of my favorite automobiles lined up in various colors for me to choose from, it felt like a dream come true!!!

There were also M5, M850i, i8, etc.

Super cool! I just came back from Munich.... had no idea this was even an option. Rented a Volvo XC60 from Hertz....SOUPER boring. haha

Beware of those cars being then sold to the public! Sixt too, and those cars have always the same weird spec.

Had no idea one could rent an M4 at Welt. What were the prices like?

Check it out on their website. Each car is different and you can rent them from a short 3 hour period, to multiple days.

We were saying that too, but I think you can say that about any rental car.

What weird spec are you referring to? Only thing I noticed was none of them had competition wheels on them, but I think that's because they're more expensive to repair/replace. Also, they all had standard color combos and no M Performance goodies.

BMW on demand is always fun when visiting the Welt. Wifey and I usually reserve a cool car ahead of time when we are in Munich for non European Delivery trips.

True.

No comp pack, no harman kardon, usually on 19's, black extended leather, always with DCT and has that base blue shadow plastic trim that no one ever gets. I have it in the car but mine's a manual and I know the previous owner.

Now that you mention, You're right I noticed there's no Harman! But ours had carbon trim and all were comp pack but on the 19's.

Only the M5 didn't have comp available for rent. M2/4 was comp only.
