Hankook RS4 on 513m question
Hey guys,
Just picked up my F80 m3 last year and haven't gotten around to taking it to the track. I just purchased an extra set of 513m wheels to throw on the car and looked at tire choices and there isn't much out there. The only option that fit within the stock trie sizes are Yokohama AO 52. I ran these on my porsche last year and they were great, but kinda pricey. I also used to run the RS4 and loved them and they were relatively cheap. Tire rack offers them in 245/40/18 and 265/40/18. These seem to be within range of the oe tires since I heard they run wide. Any issues with the dsc with running these? I came from Porsche's and had a 911c4 and if the tires were outside of a 2% aspect ratio the vicious coupler would overheat and cause issues. I know I am not running awd, but wondering if anything outside of the oem tire range will throw anything off. |

There are several long conversations in the Wheels & Tires forum on this subject. I don't know what the specs are for the 513m widths and offsets, but I run 275/305s on my 18" track wheels. I've run 275/295 on my stock 437s as well...just to give you some data points.
