Out of warranty MPE repairs

Hi All - firstly i appreicate there is a lot of threads re damaged BMW MPE exahusts and warranty claims.

unfortauntely mine is out of warranty by one year and BMW will not replace it.

I have no visible signs of cracking but am experiencing this a prologed cold start vibration like this (m4 not m2 but same noise):

Has anyone experienced this and found a DIY / local welder solution?

Somone mentioned having supports welded from the canister to side exits as supports but i'm not sure if this is a solution or if something inside the canister has failed?

thanks

Matt

You check the tips? Make sure they are tight? They are held on on the bottom by set screws. Check the exhaust valves too as they are easy to replace.

Tips are definitely tight - i rechecked them at the weekend including making sure they were pushed all the way back.

How do i check or replace the exahust valves?

thanks

Try tightening the screws a little bit more. It may have a quarter turn or more left even though it feels tight.

Just an FYI:

*Original BMW accessories that are installed on/in the vehicle will
carry the full New Vehicle Limited Warranty if they were installed
prior to the delivery to the client. If the installation is made after the

Is your car out of warranty also?

Remove the whole exhaust and reinstall it. That worked for me when I had this issue.

Lol it worked. Maybe the clamps need the tightening. Literally took my friend 15mins to do it.
