Aftermarket ikon lights

TOOK A GAMBLE AND BOUGHT AN AFTERMARKET IKON HEADLIGHTS FROM A SELLER IN THE FACEBOOK BMW FORUMS. THE SET CAME FROM CHINA FROM A COMPANY NAME LUOMA MOTORS https://www.facebook.com/people/Luom...0066483407769/
THE REP WAS PRETTY COOL AND ANSWERED LOTS OF QUESTIONS FOR WEEKS BEFORE I PULLED THE TRIGGER TO BUY IT. I KNEW THERE WAS ONE OTHER GUY WHO BOUGHT IT AND SAID IT WORKED SO I TOOK A CHANCE. THE SET LOOKED VERY GOOD, ALMOST 1:1 QUALITY. THE ONLY THING YOU WILL NOT HAVE IS ADAPTIVE HEADLIGHTS EVEN THO ON THE HEADLIGHT ITLL SAY BMW ADAPTIVE LED LIKE THE OEM ONES. I PAID 1200.00 SHIPPED AND I GOT IT FROM CHINA IN 3 DAYS DHL EXPRESS. IT WAS BOXED WELL AND PROTECTED. I CONTACTED MARIUS WHO WAS INSTALLING AND CODING ONE FOR ANOTHER CUSTOMER AND PAID HIM 300.00 FOR THE WIRING HARNESS AND CODING. THE INSTALL RAN ME FOR 320.00 FOR THE HEADLIGHTS AND ANOTHER 160.00 FOR THE WIRING. ALL TOGETHER I PAID 1980.00! THE HEADLIGHTS WHEN ON ARE VERY BRIGHT LIKE 7K LIGHT COLOR. WHEN SWITCHED TO HIGH BEAM, THE LOW AND HIGH BEAMS BOTH GO ON TOGETHER. PRETTY SATISIFED WITH THE PURCHASE AND DEF GAVE A UPGRADED LOOK. HERE ARE SOME PICS AND HOPE THIS HELPS SOME PEOPLE THINKING OF UPGRADING FROM XENON OR PRE LCI TO SAVE SOME MONEY.

Goddamn they out here making bootleg headlights now 😂😂 when will it stop??

Post a pic of light output. Someone also bought this from same seller and stated it was complete garbage, which frankly I believe with no surprise.

With 2k you could've traded in your xenons + 2k cash and got some REAL oem headlights.

2k is not chump change. I've been burned too many times with aftermarket head and tailights, never again!

Ikon lights really look good though!

If only it was that easy, no one wants the xenon’s. Looked at every option including just paying to remove the headlights and waiting on someone to swap. The output is good, brighter than the stick xenon. Not sure if it’s because the temp color is whiter than the xenon. I’m pretty happy with it and looks way better than the xenon.

Here you go, the left is the street light which cuts off or made the white light look yellow. Right and good reach, more clear than the xenon.

That’s the lens version with the small bulbs. Ask him about the reprint version

So you got wiring harness from Marius, and you still need additional wiring work for the install?

I'm trying to figure out what I need for this to work on my car.

Yes, the harness is more like 2 sets of wires that will need connect to the fuse box and also the headlight. Not super hard, just takes a little time. Coding can be done remotely, but will need the connector to the car and Ethernet port on the laptop.

Is there a way we can see the light output side by side with an OEM Ikon setup? Thanks for sharing the other pics. They look good but interested in functional aspects of the lights.

I contacted Luoma Motors, he said I need additional steps to install because I have the adaptive function on my xenon’s… wondering if I’d be able to get the adaptive function back if I went back to the xenons

You will need a wiring harness and also coding to make them work. If your are switching back. Just remove the added wiring harness that is needed to make those lights work. Probably will need coding again when going back to stock
