So how do these plans work if I'm not putting on a lot of mileage per year? I would say I wouldn't drive more than 5-7k per year maybe even less. I work from home and we only go out during the weekend and at most drive 30 miles. Does the plan expire after some time or is it actual per mileage?

there are various plans, I would suggest you shoot Christine a quick email when you get a chance and she can break down options for your situation.

if you are still under factory warranty and you dont plan to get close to your factory warranty running out anytime soon I would hold off till it gets closer to the end of the term then look into plans

Won’t the price increase if I get it closer to the 4 year mark?

Sorry I missed this. You will need to contact Christine with your info (see first post) so she can better answer your specific situations question

you just need top buy the programs before the factory runs out...

When I asked for a quote, there was only a difference after like 20,000 and 20,001 miles if I can recall. So between 20,0001 and 49,999 miles is the same price.

Hey, I just posted a related question in another forum, but this is interesting. So, I am about 20k miles and an year away from factory warranty expiring and I drive only about a 12K miles a year. So your recommendation would be to wait till I am closer to the warranty expiring to get quotes?

Also, do you sell Extended Service Plans? Would you recommend getting one?

Thanks,
Rakesh

We sell all BMW plans, and you yes you can buy the plans anytime upto the expiration of the factory warranty.

however if you plan on keeping the car you might as well get it whenever you can but if you are not sure maybe hold off till you know what you want to do. thats all I was getting at if that makes sense.

contact info for warranties is all in first post in this thread

Great service and discount on a warranty

I live in Florida where auto warranties are sold at full retail value with no discount. Through this forum, I was made aware of Steve Thomas BMW. I was connected to Theresa Belvedere (TBelvedere@stevethomasbmw.com) who was efficient and helpful in discussing the programs, options available, and pricing.

I saved significant money on the same plan as my local dealer offered and received exceptional and timely service.

Dealing with Theresa across the entire continent was easy and likely took less time than if I had gone into my local dealership.

It's through BMW so it's one and done. There is a maximum year/mileage BMW themselves are willing to cover the vehicle from the ORIGINAL in service date of the car.

"For example, if the new vehicle sales date was 6/12/2018 and you purchase
a 6-year/100,000-mile term, your coverage under this program will expire on
6/11/2022 or when the reading on your odometer reaches 100,000, whichever
comes first – regardless of the contract purchase date or mileage at the contract purchase date."
