Yes, i agree on that they are too highly sprung for the street, especially with 20" wheels. They have changed the spring rates at the rear from 230 lb to 190 on all kits since about three years back. Valving is the same.

I have had my Ohlins R/T's for about a year with GC camber plates (coded out the EDC). Not a single complaint yet. I am @ 15 clicks. Rides and handles better than stock, especially stock with lowering springs. The only time you can really notice a difference where it's not as comfortable as stock is large sharp bumps/potholes but I am also set to almost as low as they go which I am sure doesn't help.

I've had Ohlins for another car and I felt they were a bit disappointing... they weren't very compliant during slow speed day-to-day driving. However high speed was pretty good. I would probably look into better suspension. And about EDC... I feel the same way... comfort feels like sport which isn't to say much... comfort can be a bit jarring.

My original plan for the F80 (w/ EDC) was just pads and separate wheels/tires. Honestly was not impressed with the EDC in any setting. |
