I have a 1980 BMW R100RT (Air Cooled)..Had it since new...Some us "Rinse & Repeat" some of us ride (drive) and enjoy. I agree I have always treated my machinery like they were designed, but what the use of purchasing quality if your going to rinse and repeat.
For that kind of view you can buy a Korean Automobile and bank the rest
Agree, 10-15k is beyond ridiculous, unless you lease then WGAS, I bought, so my oil will never age beyond 5k
