One word: Money.

I'm going to guess he's either:
A. Selling to some unsuspecting schmuck
B. Getting the dealer to take it in as a trade at a significant haircut

I doubt the dealer is doing it out of the kindness of their heart, and I don't see why BMW NA would buy it back after his service record, not without a big fight.

The OP on the other hand, does NOT follow break-in procedure, over revs by 150 rev, has mysterious issues, and within a matter of days, is getting a "DCT+Individual"......

Also is it me, or there is just way to many threads on people money shifting? To all the 6 speed owners, is it really that easy to mix up gears? Or these people just being careless and abusive?
Having owned many manual performance cars, this issue has never had me worried...until reading these threads.
No, it isn't. It's of course possible to do it in any car, but this car has a very good 6MT.

+1. I don't see how it's possible to money shift this car.

Well, as we walk away from the ending of yet another thread. We will never know if the preceding events actually occurred. Did OP really get another M, with a sweet color? Did the technician performing work get reprimanded? Is there yet another new BimmerPost member, raving about his/her new M ,unknowingly driving around in a car with sheared bolts? Stay tuned for next weeks episode of M-Predator, where unwitting Bimmerposters are caught and their true stories revealed.

Fade to black, hear the gentle sounds of popcorn boxes crushing under the weight of spectators as they leave the theatre.

There's nothing you can say that'll make me think otherwise. And additionally, someone knew to stick probably should try on a less expensive car first.

A downshift to 2nd instead of 4th when 4th was the intended high-rpm target around a high speed curve will exceed by a bit more than 200 rpm.

And no-load (pushed) time in too high rpm is probably more harmful than accelerating up through it.

It would be counterintuitive imo to go to 2nd instead of fourth but definitely
possible in the grand scheme of things, especially if your on the track.

Op comes here searching for answers and asking for help when he's in a sh!t storm then leaves like a boy that just robbed a candy store with his individual new DCT m3 acting like not a damn thing happened...

Ive had this happen to me twice now going from 4th to 5th since I installed my UUC kit
