Does the M4CS will hold value ?

Hello bimmers !

I'm about to buy a M4CS 2019 with 27000 km.

My only question is: If i sell it in 3 years with 60000km the resell value will be good?

I can have the car for 112,000$CAD (86500$USD) with full warranty till 2028 and unlimited km.

What do you think about this?

Thank you for advices.

It all depends on the overall economy.
It’s been a wild and unprecedented ride of market forces over the last few years.

I’d bet on it losing value in the next 3 year period. These are toys, not investments. Chips are cyclical and will recover and there could be over-inventory as supply usually reacts with a delay. And demand may drop with interest rates or if economy craps the bed (good chance). These things impact all car prices, but especially ‘luxury/special’ cars. Fingers crossed Porsche GT car prices come back to reality.

Maybe clean examples rebound after 3-5 years as people crash/modify and add miles to them (and as electric cars start taking over).

It’s hard to predict tho. At this point I am more concerned about my cash holding value.

This is what i was thinking, probably will wait 1-2 years and grab a M4 or M4CS at discount price.

Thank you!

You are getting ripped off at that price. A used M4cs is not worth that much. I paid less than that for my new 2019 M4cs back in September 2018 and sold it for 90k CAD last year after 3 years and 36,000km of ownership. The M4cs is a fantastic machine, but you should not overpay for it.

the car has mileage and likely won't be a collector piece with multiple owners, furthermore the market it seriously inflated so there is no way in your persepctive the value will go up since you are over paying from the jump.

also what are your intentions with the car, seal it in shrink wrap and keep in garage.

if you are going to drive it, then just forget about what its resale will be down the road. live in the moment

I know... it's never a good financial decision but if can make one that don't make me loose 50k in 3 years would be fun

Different story then. 90k before tax is a bit high but not unreasonable, definitely not ridiculous as the 112k in the OP. I would not take the extended warranty for that price.

For me, personally, anything in the 90k+ territory is immediately Porsche 911. No questions asked.

I don't find the CS to be that amusing. It's just a base model with alcantara interior. Grab a 6 speed base model and you'll be much happier. Just my 2 cents.

I've seen M4 GTS go for 70-80k in this market around 20k miles. Also, I think it's a waste to buy warranty for the F8x chassis. I've had 2016 F80 M3 for 4 years and 2020 F82 M4 for over a year. Stage 2 OTS maps. Not a single issue.

You should have been more forthcoming in your OP, difficult to give you the advice you are seeking for without the full story…

You don”t seem to be well informed about what a CS is….

Further, note that the OP is in Canada, there aren”t any recent used 911 for sale at 90k CAD in these crazy times…

CS is a good balance between track and street. Power is almost identical to comp tune. Suspension is almost identical to the base models. Exhaust is comp exhaust with welded tips. CF hood and CCB can be added to any F8x.

But, I just don't think a CS is worth the price

I really want to get a summer car but seems like market is too broken and waiting seems the right solution... 911 are gold at holding value but at 90k like you said i've got nothing.

You should read up on it more. The torque increase makes a big difference, boosting the power area under the curve, with up to 38hp gain over the CP tune at some rpm. The whole suspension being tuned for R-comp tires also make a significant difference. The fact that I was 2.5 seconds faster around my local track in my M4cs vs my previous M4 on the same tires is quite telling to me.

For sure, the M4cs is not meant for everyone, for those that appeals to, it a very compelling proposition.

I never meant to hurt your feelings. I just expressed how I felt like the CS is not worth the price point. Don't need to get butthurt

I'd rather grab a base model 6 speed and tune it to stage 2 and put some cup 2s on with KW v3 coilovers. Have a blast on the street and at the track. I think I can shave 2.5 sec with cup 2 tires alone
