Precision Dynamics Crank Hub

Posting cause we just cannot have enough crank hub threads. I'm just perpetuating the cycle of questions

Came across it as an alternative to the pinned and spline versions out there and haven't seen it posted on BP before.

Basically a Carbahn replica machined a little differently?
(Mr Rizk corrected me, old Gintani style)

I thought the Carbahn is pinned. This appears to be a beefier version of the gintani one.

I have the precision dynamics hub installed.

No issues in the year+ that I've been on Stage 2 by Cary Jordan (flex fuel, full E85).

The benefit is that the PD now comes with a drill template to make it easier to install.

The "pinned" versions are difficult to drill correctly and I've seen examples snap because the pins were misaligned due to poor installation.

A plastic template tool is sent with the crank hub. You just use a standard drill bit and guide it through the template. Unfortunately I don't have photos.

I wondered the same and happened to check out PD videos of their hub and took a screen shot from that. Here's what the crank looks like after drilling.

Again, not my crank but a screenshot directly from their video.

Not the most symmetrical outcome but guess it doesn't need to be 100% perfect on the top arc vs the sides of the pin. If that makes sense.

Thanks for the screenshot
