Is this a Goodwill errand?

Okey so I have been experiencing vibrations during heavy turning in curves. I took the car to a Dealer to check it up and they told me that the Wishbone right end was moving (no. 15) in "Z" axis (up and down). It was still attached but it was a bit loose and therefore moving.

I told BMW that this should be handled as a Goodwill but I got the feeling that they will not consider it that way.

My car is a DD and also a track car. She has several modifications, one of them being 30mm H&R springs. I believe this could be the Root Cause of the Problem and also my Achilles' heel when it comes to the Goodwill!

I just want to hear your thoughts, do you think I have a chance at the GW? The car is a MY15 and unfortunately my 3-year warranty period ended in March this year.

Just to cheer me up I've attached a small pic on her at the end!

How many miles?

This is a normal wear and tear. A deals is a business and not a charity - they’re here to make money. It’s like walking up to a stranger on the street and asking for your car to be fixed for free.
My guess is that you’re out of luck - unless you buy a ton of cars from them.

Yes, I agree with you but I just feel that this is a part that should last longer than 1500miles. An engine is also wear and tear, should that break after 1500miles?

The M4 GTS got different wishbones...

the OEM wishbones of the ordinary M4 / M3 isn't the perfect thing for fun on a race track. The same counts for a set of lowering springs and OEM dampers.

OP, I don't think it's fair to expect but no harm in requesting. You're car has been modified and considering a track used car takes on more beating than normal, I can see this happening though first time hearing of it.

There are other guys running eibachs etc for track but with camber plates. Not sure if that has any bearing on what happened.

Okey but I guess I would need to replace both wishbones with suitable ones for H&R springs and for tracking? Might as well do that do avoid future problems?

I would post this in the track thread to get better feedback on which quality parts to go with etc.
