New one-off wheels for my M4 Comp.
I decided to make something with my own design this year, which isn't so easy in the wheel world. Almost everything has already been done. but noone has made a two-piece carbon/billet M666-style wheel so that was what i did.
we machined them from a higher quality alloy than the regular HRE's and brixtons use on their billet wheels so wi use 7075 quality instead. After the CNC process i decided to not paint them with regular powder coat as that can flake off and it kills the structure from the machining process so i anodised the centers instead. That gives more"life" tio the surface. After that i bolted the centers to the Dymag carbon fiber barrels with 40 titanium bolts on each wheel. I also wrapped the outer edge of the barrels with PPF for protection. Here is a movie of the process for those who is intrested: |
