I'm confused. So they're offering this tune, but you can't prove that they gave you the HP that you were promised on any other dyno because it will void the warranty? And if you do put it on a dyno, it then won't show the numbers you were promised because there isn't enough airflow?

Seriously... Sounds like someone is hiding something. Our tune is so special awesome, that when on a dyno its hides is secret sauce.

We've used dynos for decades, come on..

I have been ripped on so may tunes over the years I'd run if I were told this.

Please post dragy times like 0-60, 1/4 mile or 60-130 for comparison to BM3 or ECUTEK tunes. Then we will know if the tune is close too or above the competition.

Call the shops that install the tune or better yet call Noel directly and he can explain to you. I'm not an engineering or tuner. Just telling you based on my experience.

The Tuners will give you unbiased opinions if you are skeptical.

There's a whole 23 page thread on Noelle over on the F90 forum if you want some reading entertainment...

https://f90.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...678497&page=20

The general consensus is the whole Noelle Tune is a BS scam.

If you can't get any documentation or factual proof of power change then why even bother with their opinions? It's not like opinions powers your petrol engine.

Put it on a dyno or do a draggy. How are they going to find out its you, then void the warranty.

Thanks. So, if I call these 'Tuners', will they be able to share the performance data we're looking for?

Anything else is a hard pass.

I'm not sure but I believe it's in the DME everything you do in the car. I'm not trying to figure out unless you're going to reimbursement me lol. Again call Noelle if you are so curious or if you have questions.

Tuners claiming to provide a full powertrain and/or drivetrain warranty is ridiculous. It always has been and always will be. Who in their right mind would assume all that risk? Everything I read from the F90 thread leads me to believe this is a tailor-made scam.

I woulda have just went jordan tuned. Best reliability and power imo. Most cars that have spun hub were not jordan tuned.

That's cool, if you feel so strongly then you should call around and do your DD. I have no dog in the fight my friend, I'm just telling you how I'm enjoying my tune thus far.

More reputable names like Carbahn and Dinan offer it as well, though I personally don't know anyone who's successfully had it covered by them.

I was leaning towards a BM3Jordan tune and after riding in a Jordan tuned car and a Noel tuned car it was a significant difference for me. Also having a warranty gave me a little more peace of mind. Not to mention Karl Noelle being an ex engine builder for Alpina.

How do you know for fact that Jordan tune is the most reliable? Have you tested and tuned every tune there is out there for the F80? Also hubs have spun on stock cars. It's more likely to spin on cars that are tuned with higher amounts of torque but it has happened with stock cars.

That's my point. Who has gotten their engine repaired or replaced via one of these warranties? I've read plenty of threads about folks being given the run around by Dinan for a major warranty claim. It turns into a finger pointing exercise for who is to blame: BMW, Dinan or negligence on the part of the customer.

And I'm well aware of the players offering powertrain and/or drivetrain warranties with their tune. Eurocharged is another one (or was in the past).
