Good to know!
Having just ordered my M4 I was curious to see if I'd still have room for all the "junk" I normally carry in my M5. It's always good to be able to keep the golf clubs in the trunk without having to fold down one of the rear seats and have visibility.

The M4 actually has a slightly smaller trunk than the M3. However, both of those are actually LARGER than the E60 trunk (14 cu ft). Yeah, talk about the F80 being a baby M5. I love it!

Its 480L (16.9 cu ft) for the M3 vs. 445L (15.7 cu ft) for the M4.

That explains why I had to really push my suitcase and wheelie duffle into my M5 to make it fit yet it pretty much just slid in but fit snugly in the F30.

You can fit approximately 48 human heads in the trunk of the M4...

(But you have to arrange them carefully...)

I know this is an old thread but since it says it literally no wher and this is the only thread that comes up: the trunk space I measured with the rear seats down to the back of the driver seat, in a comfortable position for me (6') is 73 inches. Which means you can fit a queen size mattress in a box. King size might fit on the passenger side with the seat moved forward and at an angle. On an f82
