I have TB and love it. In direct sunlight it is simply stunning....but in any other light it looks black and a little drab unless you look hard. SS looks really great and does a better job of showing off the lines of the car. You can't go wrong with either.

I think you'll be happy with either. They both look good and with the Amaro interior they will be fantastic. I voted for SSII only because I hate swirl marks and SSII should require less maintenance.
Have fun deciding and let us know what your decision!

I have Tanzanite but my original choice was SSII.
If I was to choose again it would be 100% Silverstone over TZB. Whilst Tanzanite is a beautiful colour, the upkeep is a nightmare and it shows every little scratch, swirl and stone chip.

No disrespect to Silverstone, which is a great color, but the Tanzanite is on a whole other level of special in my opinion. It can appear to be many different colors, depending on the amount of light or sunshine. It's a great color - I just stay away from the darker colors because they're a bitch to keep looking nice.

I'm also one of the folks that almost got SS2 but opted for Tanzanite Blue instead. Personally I have no regrets. The upkeep is tough but if you ceramic coat it from the start, swirls are a nonissue. Dust on the other hand... ugh.
The main reason why I didn't go SS2 is because it is a lot harder to match paint if you get into a fender bender. I do agree that SS2 shows off the lines best. One thing that is true, the F8X looks stunning in almost every color. Last edited by x.shell; 08-08-2017 at 09:53 PM.. |

Tanzanite is too dark and only looks special in the sun. I don't like Silverstone in some lights but I would have to choose it over TZB, especially given the cost difference.

I like Tanzanite. It has a varying personality depending on the lighting.

Thank you all very much for your extremely helpful posts.
After looooong contemplating which colour to choose and going back and forth with each (btw I think both are truly amazing) I finally decided to go with the silverstone exterior, amaro brown full leather interior, ZCP and black 666m wheels. The winner in the end was for me the maintenance and contrast of the black and carbon bits and also the understated nature of the colour. Now the hard part begins....the waiting...The car should be delivered at the end of 2017, fingers crossed |
