Has anyone seen a North American M3 CS VIN less than 5L00001?

They go much lower than that.

5K99
5L00
5L71

My last 7 are 5L00074, so I assumed mine was the 74th built. But that doesn't seem right after hearing other owner's vins. Any insight how to decipher it?

Probably about the 1,074th.

I believe that someone on our CS Facebook page has a 'K' vin on their CS so I don't think they are sequential.

Too bad they aren't. I have 00042 (the ultimate answer).

The 5K99... obviously were built before the VINs turned over to the 5L000000 if you examine the build dates.

Correct. I was just saying that I don't think all the CS have sequential VIN.

I think they were built in clusters. Say 10 to 30 CS cars in a row with other M3s mixed in.
