Question Which 325 tires for 6-700WHP 60-130?

Since I bumped up from Stg2 93 to a worked F80Paul E85 tune I can't keep my 305 RE71Rs from spinning, sometimes even in 4th, so 325s are the next choice. I just ordered a set of 19in Signature SV107 wheels in 9.5ET20 front and 11.5ET45 rear. Intent is fastest 60-130 times (weekly/monthly Dragy), and possibly a dragstrip visit 1-2 times a year. I do not track and there are no curves anywhere nearby, just straight highway runs. Sometimes it rains, and Pennsylvania can get cold. I have Blizzaks on my 437s for winter. Having MP-HAS helps everything fit.

For new tires I'm trying to pick between:
Mickey ET Street S/S P325/30R19 (27in) DOT Approved R2 Compound $431
Toyo Proxies R888R 325/30ZR19 (26.7in) UTQG-100.AA.A $456
Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 325/30ZR19 (26.7in) UTQG-300.AA.A $388

What's your experience?
What's your opinion and why?

For the price range you should include 315/30r19 sport cup 2 into the equation and get feedback. I haven’t tried any of those tires in those specific sizes but would love to hear opinions on cup 2 tires as well. I’m seriously considering these for my next set cos I’m only running 19x11 rears.

I didn't include the Cup2 in the list since I hear you can't drive in the rain with them, and they don't handle cold at all.

You can't drive r888 in the rain either. I had bad experience 3 days ago with cup 2 r...... can only drive 25 on a 45 street.

That was my hold-off on the Toyos...bad in rain. I heard that the Mickeys hook like glue when dry and are still drivable in rain, but the MPS4S might have enough grip at 325 wide. We know MPS4S can handle rain well, but can they hook on a 1-2-3 dig with 6-700WHP?

Congrats on the Signatures, i have 2 sets and love them What temps are you saying you can't hook up with 305 RE71rs? i have 305/30/19 RE71rs and with my E85 tune 591/644 on a dynojet, i can deadhook 2nd gear with a 10% reduct but this is only when its sunny out and 80+ deg.

I run R888R on one of my other cars and they are sticky, but are really loud.

@sly1types since it gets cold in Pennsy then I need a set that can still hook at 50F tire temp.

The other day it was 40F and I was doing a hard 5th gear pull to log for Paul...hit a little bump around 120MPH and spun the tires free. To properly log I need BM3 TQ reduction turned off.

Depending on what is the tire temperature when you want to dig. I had 325 trofeo r and at 105f still spend at 1 and 2nd gear. Car makes 650whp. If you warm up tire to like 130, I think 325 ps4s will hold up too. Also make sure the camber are more close to stock, otherwise no different than a 305 tire if outer tire is in the air

Firstly, wider tires will not improve straight line traction; they improve lateral traction/handling (i.e., think Porsche). So, if you want to improve straight line traction with use of tires only, you want a thicker sidewall for increased longitudinal contact patch between tire and ground (not lateral contact patch). Therefore, go down a rim size to 18" -- so, 305/40/18.

Secondly, I'm utterly gobsmacked that you don't have aftermarket coils, without which, you will get constant DSC interference with your stock suspension. Aftermarket coils will help with straight line traction due to minimized rebound/bounciness on street/track, and consequently, less DSC interference. TracTive dampers are a superior plug and play solution, that trump pretty much everything for the F80 platform. You can also look into Nitron, Bilstein, Ohlins, KW, etc.

Thirdly, rear toe links (at the very least) and a proper alignment. Some rear toe-in, both static and dynamic rear toe, at a proper alignment shop will allow for considerably improved straight line traction.

Hope that helps somewhat.

EDIT: Oh, and you want virtually no rear camber as @guess2098 has already mentioned. So, rear upper arms will help with that.

Is it possible to take out rear camber with the stock rear control arms?

Since I'm building a motor for 8-900 I decided to try the Toyo R888Rs in 325/30/19.
