There is one downside that many dont know and thats the loss of power under 75%. Its quite noticeable and even though I charge to the recommended 90% everyday I can easily get to that number in under 25 miles with spirited driving.

Here is a link to a dyno chart I haven't seen any dynos yet for the Porsche Taycan. That will be interesting to see if they are able to maintain power across all SoC. I did find that the EPA rated range of Taycan Turbo is 201 miles We also had discussed that for hard use and fast highway rolls, the 500+hp gas cars are still better these days, so hopefully you aren't too disappointed, Andrew! |

So after 25 miles of spirited driving you lose enough performance to notice? Then have to charge it to gain it back?

But does it accelerate as fast as the model 3 p+? Here in canada the m3p- is about 7000 can$ less. Plus we get a 8000$ credit. The 18 inchers would make the ride more smooth. Don’t think i would see a difference with the brakes unless i go to a track event which I don’t plan to do. The spoiler is cosmetic. Anyone know if the acceleration is the same and if the 18 inch wheels have the ps4 or another kind of tire?

It is what it is but, no I'm not disappointed at all actually. The car has enough pros to overcome the one negative. And while it's not the insane top end car I once had it's still got plenty of go over 100. I'm excited to see what's in store next if this is just the beggining. At lower battery levels 50% and under you won't notice much loss of speed under 60 even though it is just a tad slower on the draggy. After 80-90 or so you can start to feel it taking a little longer to get over 100. Instead of range anxiety I have hp anxiety. New record run with 20's. - not mine Last edited by SflBimmer8484; 01-14-2020 at 11:27 PM.. |

Tires aren't the same - typically still Michelins, but the full P version uses a Tesla-specific Pilot Sport 4S, whereas the "-" version uses an all-season. |

11.38's at almost 120mph traps? That seems suspiciously fast. In the attached even the low 11.5s seem to be faster than what most are getting. Kind of hard to believe TBH.
No 1/4 mile tracks here. I need to find a good road to test the 1/4 on. Although, weighing in at 230lbs and being at 86% SOC I already got low 3.2s w/OUT 1ft rollout on the Dragy. Thinking at 90-95% charge and a lighter driver this thing can break into the 3.0-3.1s with perfect conditions.

I was just looking at the x3m website and it seems like it has active cruise control + lane centering. Does anyone know if it is good enough to be an “autopilot proxy” |

Was hoping it was someone else You know he's not lying about a tune as you cannot tune these cars. Plus he's on stock 20"s....so does his M3P actually make more power or what? Factory freak? Really curious.

I hate driving the X3M compared to the M3P. I am legitimately thinking of selling/trading it That instant really highlights the low end lag on the S58. It's almost unbearable for me.

The lag with the X3M is a major disappointment IMO, or at least what I experienced during my M Town test drive. Has me concerned about the G80
