alot of seat time is an understatement.. the drive from the track to lake Como is going to be a long day..if you could split that up it might be better the time it shows to drive there you might want to add about 2 hrs to that if you want to stop and eat and sightsee also if you get off the highway going to be a lot slower..either way you will have a great time. also it looks like you will be driving the stelivo pass on a Saturday if the weather is good you will have to contend with a lot of people on bikes..better if you can do this on a weekday in the am. cheers

Excellent, thanks - I have about 3 days worth of wiggle room in that agenda so drop-off can be moved to Aug 3 or 4.

I really appreciate the input.

No comments other than Aqua Dome is freakin' awesome!! The girlfriend and I loved that place; especially the clothing not-allowed areas.

This is an extremely aggressive itinerary. It would be fairly aggressive for a 14 day trip, let alone a 7 day trip. I don't know where "The Six" is located, but even if you're on the East coast, flying in on 7/25 and then attempting to do everything you have on your agenda on 7/26, you are going to be completely jet lagged well before you get to Frankfurt.

The BMW Museum opens at 10:00 AM and you'll only have about 1.5 hours before the Factory Tour so you better walk fast through the museum. If you get in early enough on Monday, I'd do this on Monday, but allow about 2-3 hours.

The English factory tour is at 11:45 AM and takes ~2 hours and your delivery will take ~1 hour. So even if your delivery is immediately after the tour, it's now almost 3:00 PM and you haven't accounted for lunch. If your delivery is later, then push things out even later It's at least 4 hours to Frankfurt, and you'll be driving out of Munich in rush hour traffic, so at a minimum 8:00 PM when you get to Frankfurt, my guess is more like 10:00 PM.

The day after Nurburgring to Como is nearly 8 hours of driving, not including gas, food, and rest stops. Are you doing this by yourself?

Why are you going to Fussen? If you're going to tour Neuschwanstein Castle, count on at least a half day and get tickets in advance until you want to spend an hour or more in line just to get tickets. You can't just show up and walk through, you have to make reservations. You could show up in the morning and not be able to get a reservation until the afternoon. There's a long, steep walk up, or you can stand in line for the bus. Same thing for coming down, although the downhill is probably faster to walk.

It sounds like a you won't be able to stop and see much.

I can tell you one thing i would not want to be driving around lake como at night or tired. I missed the turn to the town that had the ferry to Bellagio ( I was coming from the north)and fig i would just continue south and come back up to Bellagio because i could not turn around for 17miles .. well let me tell you after the highway ended it was a very stressful drive.. I did 8 days last year and this year i am doing 11 days with 2 less stops. more time in one place..live and learn.

as long as you are ok with the fact you wont experience europe go for it. IMO you arent going to have a chance to see or experience any of those places.

I did a similar itinerary to yours in may, but in 14 days. I agree with others that you are spending way too much time driving, every single day. You'd only have about a few hours to enjoy each location. So I would recommend to either add another week to your trip or take out some of your stops.

Hey man. Wifey and I will be at the Welt on July 26th. Doing a dual pickup this time around. Wifey is getting a 340 M-Sport and I'm getting an M4. Are deliveries are scheduled for 130pm and 330pm. Maybe we will see you there

Just saw that you are going to the Ring on the 27th. So are we. We are staying in the Mosel Valley for a few days. We are planning on taking both cars on some Ring runs that afternoon.

I will say that I agree with the other posters that you might want to either extend your trip or cut out a few places. We learned a while back that it's better to see fewer places but really enjoy those places. Sometimes less is more!

Your plan is extremely aggressive. First and foremost don't bank doing the factory tour, checking out the Welt and picking up the car on the same day. I made that mistake and suffered. Remind yourself again and again why you are doing European delivery? My guess would be to experience the awesome delivery and the rest comes later so don't rush out of Munich. Reserve a day (not the travel day) to only explore the Welt, museum, factory tour, etc. then pick up your car the next day and drive to the castles. Ideally stay in Fussen for the night. It is a beautiful quaint little town. Then you can be on your way the next day.

With your current itinerary you will only be driving and not be able to experience any of the places. I would at a minimum spend 2 full days experiencing a place not including the day of travel. Trust me on this because I made a lot of mistakes like this on my trip.

Good luck.

Way too many places. At the end of the trip, you will ask yourself "how come all I did was drive and sleep?"

Thanks for the feedback everyone, I honestly apprecaite it. It's always good to hear real world expereince as just plotting on google maps does not take into account traffic places to stop along the way etc...

I'm going to tweak the agenda to visit less places and spend more time at the places I really want to visit. Cheers
