$700 to transfer the service plan with a CPO?
Hello All,
Just bought an M4 CPO from a BMW dealer with 15k miles and 1 year left. I'm thinking all services are performed because of the CPO. The S.A. told me if I want to transfer the remaining of the 4 years maintenance of the car, BMW now charges $700 to the not original owners. Does this sound right? Not sure if its worth buying the thing, probably next service is the oil change.

The included maintenance with a new purchase does not transfer to the new owner.

I paid $700 bucks just for the 30k maintenance which the dealer says cost $1700. Safest way to protect warranty is for dealer to maintain.

Think I paid $700 for my CPO as well. Looking back it prob wasnt worth it. The only "big" maintenance your car will need during the 4yr warranty period is spark plugs around 30k miles. Otherwise its just oil changes a brake fluid every 2 years. You would probably spend less doing these items at a good independent shop.

With one year left I would def skip it. No way you will need $700 of routine maintenance in the next year.

Direct from BMW. Included maintenance doesn't transfer.

My car has 16k and just went in for oil change, spark plugs, brake fluid change, air filters, wiper blades, and key battery. There's no way it actually needs all that stuff, but for the $700 I paid to transfer the plan, it's definitely worth it. |

Full price is $700. It's negotiable though. I paid $400 on mine for my F82.
I had to do spark plus on my next service and I'll have to do brakes this upcoming service so was an absolute no brainer.
