Got some stuff done on the car today after the San Fransisco game
Titanium lug bolts came in last week so I put those on and took some weight differences between the stock (I think) and the ti bolts. It’s nothing crazy but every bit of unsprung weight helps! The ti bolts are 17.3 grams lighter each than the oem bolts which is about 3/4 of a pound total for all 20 bolts. Wasn’t sure if I liked the contrast on my black wheels but it breaks it up a bit. Also finally got to make some cosmetic adjustments on my comp muffler and tips.
Ever since I installed the supreme power 90mm tips, the stock muffler piping stuck out far too much inside of them and it bugged the crap out of me. So pulled off the muffler, marked them about 1” from the set screw dimple on the pipe, used and angle grinder with a metal cut off wheel and trimmed those long things down!! Cleaned it up with my die grinder and a carbide bit, then hit the entire muffler with satin black. Going to let it cure overnight then reinstall tomorrow! Should look more like the 90mm tips are part of the muffler and not just slip ons, even tho they are lol. OCD makes me do shit regular people wouldn’t even think of haha but to me it’s just fine details! |

265/35/19 Hoosier a7’s showed up to my tire store today! Yanked off the front wheels, dropped them off and picked them up a few hours later!! Decided to have tire rack heat cycle this set as I overlooked that option on the rears. Fitment is great on the wheel and car, but I’ll get more pics tomorrow once the sun is out and I get it out of the garage.

I’m not sure but I would assume so. From what I’ve read it just needs a few washers on both sides to create space. I’ll find out and let you know

Thanks!
It’s catless so it has a smell, strongest being when it’s cold. It doesnt bother me at all and I only notice when I’m behind the car or in my garage obviously, but e85 it smells good to me lol. Yea I can take a sound clip |

Have been daily driving the M and it has been running flawlessly putting 5k miles on since the build. I am wot at some point every time I drive it and the car just pulls like a freight train! Sent in a few street logs in to have my tuner check them out and he thought everything looked good as well. Also I’ve went through about 10 gallons of methanol since November so Ive been having fun hahaha!
Just changed the oil/filter myself for the first time since buying the car ( Bmw did it since it was cpo then EaS did it when they built it) and it was surprisingly easy! Bmw set it up perfectly imo having the 4” cut out around the drain plug so you don’t have to remove the under tray like every other European car and the filter up top is convenient too. Of course you need to buy an oil filter housing tool, but aside from that it’s literally a 15 minute job taking your time only needing a 17mm socket, 3/8” drive ratchet with extension and some paper towels. Also I decided to test the methanol content from my regular pump and I know it usually sits at 80+% but was surprised to see it have 90% 😳 |
