Anyone want to caravan from the Raleigh, Durham area? I'm leaving on Friday morning if anyone wants to join (or maybe I'll leave Thurs if we have a caravan).

I will be arriving tomorrow around 2pm. A few of us will be doing some warm up runs on the tail Friday. We will be doing runs all day, just hanging in the area goofing off! Lol hit me up when you get in. Cell service is very spotty so call out on channel 6 on the 2-way radio. Some should hear and respond!!

Hey all, my name is Marc, I'm from Charlotte area. I just made a reservation at Tapoco and will be arriving today in my F80 M3 (white). I will be there Fri PM - Sat and leaving Sat night after the drives. Looking forward to it.

I have to bail.... My pup Jackson had a 2nd seizure in 5 weeks this morning and I'm not comfortable leaving him. Fortunately he is acting fine, going to have to go on meds though but I live like 40 minutes from the overlook, ha.

_pg, sorry to hear about the pups struggles but for putting him 1st and foremost. My wife and I run the Charlotte chapter of a rescue foundation and appreciate all that peeps do to make the pups days on earth loving ones. Look into some natural supplementation for his seizures... there are some good options out there. We just rescued our 6th, herd is back up to 4 hounds He is from Knoxville and he was going to he murdered by his breeder due to a deformed leg that will need to be amputated. His name is Little Johnny Knoxville..... aka Knoxie

Ok guys, did some driving today with some other members here. Seems like the police are out and around on 129 (the tail of dragon) running radar. Be careful of your speed around there as some members got pulled today!

Also make sure to fill up with fuel in the morning! See you all at “The Hub”!!

Sorry to hear you will not be able to make it out. We will be doing it again next year!
Definitely more important to stay home with your pup! Hope the meds can help keep the seizures from happening!

That's amazing! Jackson is a rescue as well. Came from a back yard breeder out of Illinois. Been wanting a Dane to rescue for years and finally found him. If you ever get any Danes that need a home we should talk. Love little Knoxie! Partial to that name obviously haha. Very awesome save!! Maybe he can get a badass carbon fiber prosthetic?!

Luckily they all got warnings! 80 in a 55.

We are meeting up at 8:30am at the tapoco lodge in the parking lot. Cell service is shady once you get out of Robbinsville. We will be on channel 6 on the 2-way radios. See you in the am!

Thanks Get It for setting up the drive…..Sorry to bug out but since I made the drive out there I wanted to hit the dragon a couple times. There were so many troopers around I could never relax. But I had some damn good runs. I did the TOD then this full loop that took me on the dragon again. For sure missed out on the great Sat weather and meeting the full group but I was wrecked by the time I got home….. What a day….Fun, fog & drizzle on the Cherohala skyway, being chased by sport bikes, dodging troopers….

It was good to meet you! Yea Saturday was the best day. Glad you got to have some fun on the dragon and skyway though! This year I have seen a lot more police action than any previous years on the roads around the dragon. Maybe a good thing you broke off from us, we got pulled near Bryson city on the way back to the lodge. We all got tickets, 70 in a 55. He said we were going much faster but wouldn’t say how fast! Lol
I’ll get some pics posted up when I get back home. I’m still in the mountains until Friday!
