Tanzanite Blue or LeMans Blue?

I planned to order Tanzanite Blue for my 2020 M4 but it was unavailable. My wife didn't like Sakhir Orange so it was eliminated. We both like LeMans Blue and we're really happy with it. In the meantime, my wife's lease expired and we decided to order Tanzanite for her new M550. TB is great and I go back and forth as to which one is better. For sure, LMB always looks Blue. TB really pops in the sun, it looks like deep Navy when it's overcast and appears almost Black at night. I think TB might be the better choice on the M550. Which color do you guys prefer?

Both colors are two of the best BMW colors, but that LeMans Blue F82 is gorgeous!

Both shades of blue are indeed fantastic. Only San Marino Blue is ahead by the thinnest of margins.

Truly most of the blues are awesome on the F8X, Lemans is great, but I fell in love with how dynamic Tanzanite was (and particularly how brilliant it is in the sun with the metallic flakes). I'll take 10 pictures and it will look like 10 different shades of blue.

In all reality though, you're going to be happy with whatever you choose, and you'll convince yourself it's the best blue

Was Lemans a $5k individual on the F82? Must be rare.
There are very few Lemans Blue F80s.

IB fortunate since my 6MT LeMans Blue was available as a $0 cost option for a limited number of F82s during the last year of production. I did search all CA dealerships at the time and saw at least 3 other LMB F82s but yes - definitely rare.

TB almost has a crystal-effect similar to Mazda's Soul Red Crystal or Audi's Estoril Blue Crystal in the sunlight or streetlight that's missing with Leman's, so my vote goes to TB even though I find the shade of Leman's blue more appealing.

It's very hard to capture this effect in photo's, and is very very stunning in person.

Can't go wrong with either, one of the best metallic blues every created. Le Mans gets the W from me, though, I like how brighter it is in the shade.

LMB is beautiful but a bit too amped up and Tanz would be too tough to keep clean for me year round in northeast so I went Avus somewhere in the middle I guess :

Yup. Almost black to purplish depending on the light and angle.

The pop in sunlight is unreal though.
