Some fun at my last LRP trackday of the year earlier this month. The F80/E92 combination was too good not to share!

Miatas are super annoying. I was on pace to get my best Sonoma lap yet, but then I had to lift and brake right before the finish line to avoid a Miata... I probably would have gotten a sub 1:53.9 time but I had to settle for 1:54.4

This is happened yesterday at Sonoma at the notorious T10. The guy managed to ping pong between the walls so it seemed. Luckily, he was unhurt and was walking. The car and various bits of it were dumped in the parking lot just after the entrance to the track.

Nice, I am going to Sonoma this weekend for the first time. Been practicing on my sim rig in project cars 2. Set a top 10 on the leaderboard in the 1M.

I recommend to use Asseto Corsa. There is a mod for Sonoma that is pretty accurate. I would caution that T10 in real life looks far more welcoming for a high speed entry compared to the sim. However, once you start entering, you will realize that the road is turning quite a bit more than you initially expected and the wall starts coming up pretty quick.

Yeah will be watching that turn 10 after those pictures you posted.... RIP
Agreed, Assetto Corsa is my main sim, think the sonoma mod hadnt been updated in 4 years or so? Wasnt sure of the quality on it. maybe ill check it out. Would be nice to practice in the f8x again. Last edited by Driver407; 11-23-2020 at 12:14 PM.. Reason: words |

I've had a few light "moments" at T10 during trail braking as well. I now do all the hard braking before doing the initial turn in.

Not cool to post pics of other peoples wrecked cars at the track . Goes against track etiquette.

The only way around the noise is to run a mic to your rear to get the exhaust. Still noisy but an exhaust note is 100000X better than whooooshhhhesss all day.

Any Northeast guys on here? I just bought a pack of 4 events with Motorsports Enthusiasts that runs at NJMP. Probably looking to do another 4 events or so next year. Any recommendations on groups for a newbie?
