PLEASE Help! My battery is dead and the charger doesn't seem to be worked.

I need help from you guys!

I haven't driven my f82 for couple months and now the battery is dead. And I bought a CTEK lithium charger.

The pic with the only green LED on is my battery is under some sort of protection ( so I pressed the "RESET" button on the charger.)

The pic with the green LED and the orange one on seemed to be worked.

However !!! The pic with green, red, orange LED on at the same time is now what I am dealing with.

Has anyone tried this battery before? Is it normal to have green, red, orange LED on at the same time ?(I think my battery has a pretty low voltage now)

PLEASE HELPP!!

I would jump start the car first using another car and jumper cables, then drive around on the highway for 20 minutes or so. Then connect the charger to get it topped off.

Does the Ctek charger require you to select AGM or Lithium before you connect it to the battery? The BMW one I have does.

The CTEK charger does not have any selection for me, the manual said just to plug it directly stuff like that. ( I did the reset for 10 secs )

You have to buy a different CTEK trickle charger for AGM type batteries.

See the mode button and the AGM (sometimes a snowflake) on the CTEK charger.

Call AAA...or get a jump.

Cheers
This is news to me... the f8x is supposed to have BMW lithium. Do you know something about his car we don’t?

This video from CTEK shows how to troubleshoot a dead Li-Ion battery with a red, green, and orange light. Start at 2:20

The Li-Ion battery is in sleep mode after an undervoltage and you have to wake it up.
Hold the Reset button for 10 seconds.

I am sure since you are in Canada it it much colder than usual, so it is dead dead.
Recharge might take 14 hrs...but you can restart after the second or third orange light.

Good luck...

Cheers

Dead battery

Jump it with another vehicle to get some charge or connect another battery with jumpers. A lot of modern chargers won’t recognize a dead battery and will not start to charge without meeting a minimum voltage threshold. My experience for what it’s worth.

No matter how many times I pressed the "RESET" button, it won't work...

I'm thinking to get a car to jump-start first to see if that can start up my car.

Thanks for the vid by the way!

They make small potable batteries to jump start your car. Advanced portable Lithium batteries all these devices to be much smaller. Keep it in the car.

Also have BMW check your Li battery, since it is under warranty. It could be defective.

Not so cold in Vancouver...

Your M4 battery is lithium, has low voltage disconnect chip inside battery(11.7V) to protect battery from fully discharging and damaging cells.

You need to "wake up" battery with boosting from another car or jump starter.

Lithium jumpers have "boost" function when battery is too low to give any voltage reading, which you're gonna need to start your car.

One of those will work, they can even boost F-350 diesel numerous times.

https://www.amazon.ca/GOOLOO-SuperSa...omotive&sr=1-6

When you start the car, you can go for a drive, park it and connect charger.

It should charge fully in 12h, depends on your charger.
