steel brakes sticking?

Ive noticed for the past few days as i go to brake and let off the pedal the car continues to apply brake pressure as if i was still on the pedal. Not on an incline or anything like that, just normal stopping and i can feel the car still braking when im off of the pedal. Reservoir is at normal range, pads and rotors have normal wear for 40k miles (no track days).. Has anyone experienced this "sticking" feel to their brakes? I cant seem to find another member with the same issue yet. Could this mean its time for new pads and rotors? IM gonna get a measurment of the rotors later this evening to make sure they havent worn below 28.5mm.. Pads have life left as well..

I am at 50k with all stock and running fine. I doubt replacing pads or rotors would help but it wouldnt hurt. Could be a problem with your calipers / brake fluid that you might want to look into.

You mention that the brake fluid level is okay, but not when the last time was the fluid was flushed. If it hasn’t been recent, I would start with a flush first.

You might want to take a look at the dust boots. If the dust boots are damaged, there is a possibility that the piston seals inside the caliper are shot causing the pistons to stick.

*UPDATE

fluid was bled
pads changed
all seals and dust boots checked (perfect)
found that passenger caliper bled extremely slow.. removed the caliper and throroughly cleaned and bled it..

still was sticking, but more now...

we checked abs/dsc unit and found fluid wasnt making it to it... performed a reset on the abs unit and now the brakes are woorking as they should.
