A Spring Perch?

Hi Guys,

Suspension is not my area of expertise so I'm hoping for some help. I purchased a set of camber plates from Turner because I want to improve handling at the track and also not cause much premature wear. It sounds like -2.5 is an agreed upon number on the forum. Anyway, I noticed Turner also recommends purchasing spring perches when using "race" springs. I run EMD springs on my F80. Does anyone know if spring perches are a must to avoid complications?

Thanks.
