Midpipe Upgrade was pointless

Today i removed my secondary cats and resonator all with straight pipe charged 500 dollars which is ridiclous they upcharged me because they "dont remove anything that has to do with cats" well that is unless you pay more which im fine with. I attached some two sound clips (it sounds way better in person I am very Pleased) but my HUGE PROBLEM is I can only hear it in 1st and 2nd gear no matter what sport mode im in the valves close in 3rd gear I have seen countless videos of people with midpipes resonator deletes etc driving and the sound is there i assume there past second gear. I mean there is no sound from my exhaust at all with the valves closed. How can I open them Ive looked around for some exhaust valve controllers but havent had much luck. I also hear just pulling the plug on the fuse box so I went to do that, and it looks nothing like what was being shown in the video i couldnt even get to mine. Please Please any suggestions or what have you guys done in this case I see so many people with midpipe upgrades/resonator delete and theres sounds perfect in all gears like the valves are open? Please Help feel like I kind of wasted my money.

I recently did a similar midpipe as well and it is louder in all gears in Sport and Sport+. Efficient is very quiet in all gears, like stock. Based on the video, the sound completely cuts out in 3rd, like you say. It seems to me your flap is malfunctioning. Maybe it needs a recalibration or some type of reset. Maybe the shop messed it up during the switch over. In any case, you should hear it in all gears in Sport or Sport+.

Turn your car on, put it in sport plus and just barely tap the gas pedal. That should open the valves, lay on the ground and on both sides of the muffler there will be a black box and a plug going into it. Unplug that. Valves will always be open, you can look through the exhaust tips to verify

Disconnect the valves. I have the same setup with fabspeed midpipe and it’s phenomenal when you unplug the valves.

I would of suggested our midpipe for $50 more but either way you should be able to hear your exhaust mod in all gears.

Bootmod3 tune will allow you to override the valve closing in sport mode past 3rd gear so they will stay open and you still keep the valves closed in comfort.

Leave them if you don't drive in the rain or through puddles. But if you drive all the time you can put some electrical tape over the connectors then zip tie it up to be safe
