We have access to just about all the OEM calibration files. So we can certainly make compatible tune files based on these OEM calibrations.

In time we will be doing e85 testing/map development. But for our initial launch, we will only offer gasoline tune files.

Our M3 is being delivered on Monday. Thus far all F80 development has been done on a few local customer cars. But once we strap our car to the dyno and apply our OTS tunes, we will post the official numbers and get rolling with public release

Yes. But unlike the Cobb AP, the OFT doesn't encrypt tune files and allows them all to be fully viewed/edited/compared using free "open source" map editing software.

So for me, who is CPO and not easily excited to mess with anything that may brick my ecu or pop my warranty, could I just use your maps with no tuning?

I also have mppk, would I have to flash over that for your tune, save it, then for dealer visit flash it back?

Cobb was pretty simple stupid for us folks that didn't have a advanced IT/programming degree! Lol. Are you guys like that as well?

This is killer news. I have spent a ton of money with BM3 and custom tuners and have never been 100% satisfied. ETuning in general can be a difficult process, especially when the car is heavily modified.

So excite. Pre ordered mine just a moment ago. Get me mah stuffs!

It's as simple to use as the Cobb AP since you just plug it in, read the ECU, and then wait a few seconds for it to automatically generate tune files. Then pick the tune file you want to write to the ECU and that's it. Same process switching tunes or going back to stock. No need to use a laptop or for a wifi connection. No need to buy any addition cables either. For a demo video of how the OFT works, pls watch the following video. It shows the process of installing an OFT (the older smaller version 1) on an FR-S. But the same exact process applies to all other applications, including the F series BMW:

At first, the OFT's on board database of different calibration/sw versions may not be fully complete. So there is a chance that the OFT may not be able to automatically generate OTS tune files. In that case, you just email us the calibration code and we can email you back the OTS tune files for you to upload to your OFT using any PC. Very simple process. As we build our customer database, the chance of this extra step dwindles. Which is why we will be offering an lower intro price at launch later this month

The MPPK upgrade will be rendered largely obsolete once we release our OTS tunes. But you can always flash it back in prior to dealership visits.
