DCT Oil Change, Leave Pan Installed?

So, I am at roughly 41k miles, fair amount of track abuse. I have the external dct filter and redline fluid for the flush. Some have recommended simply draining and replacing the external filter only, refilling with fresh fluid,

Any thoughts on this method?

Thanks

Drain and fill with just external filter replacement will probably drain about or less than 5 liters of fluid. Total transmission fluid capacity is about 9 liters? I'm not totally sure but pretty confident that its around that number so you'll be drain around half the fluid. I performed a darin and fill with both filters replaced at 30K with about 5K miles of track abuse. Neither of the filters looked bad but tons of clutch material on the pan. Having ISTA is a must when filling the fluid just a FYI.
