GTS differential and steering, Euro MDM?

Hey guys,

I've flashed my car with BM3 and was able to flash the GTS transmission tune, but I'm also interested in coding the differential and the "Euro" MDM.

I've been unable to figure out how to do these things even after searing the forum.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thank you!

2015 M4 if that matters.

Hey Just google Esys coding.

After that look up your ECUs like GHAS and etc.

Of course you need Esys and at least trimmed PSDZ Data.

And notice not to use Esys after 3.28.1 for coding issues. Newer Versions have trimmed CAFDs and you cannot see the parameters anymore.

IMO, ESYS is a good tool to become familiar with. Not particularly hard to setup if you are even remotely comfortable with software.

Thank you everyone. I've tried to search, I know the info is out there but I'm having a hard time putting it all together.

I'm very familiar with software, generally speaking. I'm an IT engineer with a primary focus on Microsoft products.

My biggest concern it's costing something incorrectly, so I'm just trying to make sure I understand everything first. Lots of terms I don't understand. No idea what psdz or cafd. I understand esys is the program you run to access the system, but that's about it.

I'll do some more searching on those topics.

Thanks again!

Hey

PSDZ is the datapool which Esys needs to code or program your ECUS. It's the store of alle ECU Data.

CAFDS are like translation tables for the intern ECU process numbers. They are like a direction guide and know where you have to put the "1" to activate what you want. So it tells you, if you want to deactivate the bell warning for example, chose activate or deactivate and I'll do the rest.
