Accessing front grill cross bars?

How are people going about painting the cross bar that you see through the front grill? Do they just come off with some bolts?

Please chime in if you have done this to your f8x.

Find a diy for swapping front heat exchanger, that will get you to cross bar removal

Iirc awe had a diy for their cooler on their website
