Hello,
I placed the order with my dealer on 12/19. YMB, M3, CCB, Carbon Fiber roof, Cloth Interior, 6MT Yesterday i received a notice of my production no. My Build sheet says - 111- order Accepted at AG Priority 1 - Customer sold I do not have a production date. But my dealer received there allocation and bumped me to the top of the list. |

Are you saying that you should receive your Prod # immediately after placing the order? (It is attached to the order?)

I ordered mine in Sep'14 in the midst of all CF delay rumors (CF roof on mine), got week 49 production slot with 12/15 ED pickup. Car went into production as originally scheduled, picked her up as planned. You will be fine. Do not forget to book the tickets before your preferred dates get sold out. a

Ive already mentioned it in a few threads but i guess i'll repeat it again...
Ordered October 4th with a week 46 production. Not only did my date get pushed back to week 5, BMW also swapped my production # with someone else. I was tracking someone elses car for 2 months as that was the production # I was initially given. Not until I tracked that car to its arrival in the USA did I find out that it wasn't even my car, and that BMW had swapped production #s due to a delay in Full Leather and possibly CF as well. I don't mind too much but what annoys me is that I bought $4k worth of winter wheels and tires in early December in preparation of the car I thought I was getting, only to find out its not mine. Now I likely won't even get a chance to use the winter setup this year. So lame. Other thing that bugs me is that despite not being the only one with this delay issue as evidenced by some of the posts in this thread, I did see a few people in other threads order cars a month after me who have already gotten them; and they're cars with CF roofs as well. I really feel like there are dealers with friends at BMWNA who are moving orders around to get certain customers their cars first. They know a production problem exists so someone at BMWNA is giving preferential treatment to certain dealers requests. Last edited by MaX PL; 01-08-2015 at 04:53 PM.. |

Get used to seeing that. Mine didn't change status until 10 days before I left for Munich.

Quite possible that people just have friends at bmwna. The situation kind of sucks and is a giant waste of time. I found one recently that's in the Midwest somewhere with my exact build specs but the dealer keeps saying that the manual transmission M3's are rare and hard to find so this is causing him to not give a good deal on the car. |

I think what is happening is that some dealers placed orders far in advance with no customer name - as customers come in, they put names on orders already in process that would have just gone into dealer stock otherwise. That's what happened with me. Dave |

I would certainly hope that dealers have a better way of tracking the car progress than us. But in my own experience, both the website and 800 worked pretty flawlessly, with a 1 week status lag on the website.
