Welcome surprise yesterday when I wasn’t expecting it. Fair amount of traffic, so was alternating hot laps and cool down/passing laps. Checked the data and PB, big time! Yoko A052 and MCS 1 way get along pretty well. First time trying 2 tracks and 2 different organizations in the same day. Willow Springs international tracks are adjacent it makes this possible as you can probably see in the image. What a blast and newfound respect for endurance racing. Of course, the day wouldn’t be complete without fuel pick up issues - ran below 1/2 tank. |

For me it has been random when the pads just decide to chuck off and separate from the backing plate. Also lots of time at PBIR which is a short course with a long straight and heavy breaking zone. |

Nice I did a 1:45.1 on my 1st and only day out there. 6mt civic with RS4 and PFC08. This was back in July with lots of traffic. Haven't been back since.

Take a box fan + outlets in the garages are the only way to survive summer track days at Homestead or Sebring. Think if I showed and no garages available, I'd just leave.

[QUOTE=FormulaMMM;27159151]Nice! Sorry, I'm missing it. What were your gains with MCS?
Most of the 2+ seconds gained would be attributed to MCS, was in the 25’s at the Porsche club event prior to install. Have to believe some of the gain is tires, these Yoko are fast. The most exciting part - predictive lap timer showed 1:22x before hitting traffic (more than once). Looking forward to seeing similar gains at Buttonwillow next weekend. |

I was able to get 2:35.9 during the happy hour, but got held up in traffic in a few places so definitely room for more. Catalyst said my optimal lap was 2:33.72, personal best is 2:34.86 on fresher tires in December. |

I love the Catalyst optimal lap feature - gives me the constant encouragement of the "art of the possible" if I string it all together. It's made a huge improvement in my laptimes and overall fun for the weekends @ the track. You going out for Edge in March? |

Always interesting to see what other platforms will do anyways. Maybe someone will find your Vette content insulting, things turn inflammatory. It'll be fun.

There's more than one person who does this all the time. So as far as I'm concerned you can post your laptime info here all you want, regardless of what you drive |

It's only a matter of time before I can find a salvage F8x and race spec it. I'm an equal opportunity roaster, which heavily includes Corvettes. |

That's a solid time too. Always thought reviewers were probably being overdramatic about how unmanageable the C7 Z is.

In all fairness, NYG is faster/better driver than most people. The Z may be too much to handle for people with lesser abilities.

I never planned to track the Z, I just wanted a nutty ass street car.
So after my M4 was in the shop for exhaust rattle covered under warranty. This happened. Personally, it’s easier for me to drive my Z06 faster than My M4 at the local track by 2 seconds. Z06 on run-flats, M4 on Re71 or NT01 plus camber plates. It’s not about top speed into a corner, the tuned M4 has higher straight line speeds. I should say near similar speed. It’s about the turn in confidence into a corner, Z feels really stable for me.

But, I don't know if you ever tried running it with assists fully off, not Track - Race mode. It's like driving a bucking bull - really easy to get lost on the low end torque out of corners. The Z is scary approaching the limits. The nice thing is the PTM modes are really good for those that don't want to play with fire. On the opposite side, I've never been more confident in a car than I was in the M4CS - even with the shit stock suspension I had. Say what you want about the electronic steering but comfort mode steering input on the track was orgasmic. You always felt like you were in control. The car wanted you to be at the limit. Feels reaaaaaaaaaaaally good to be in a manual again though. The sound of the Z is intoxicating too. I'm genuinely jealous that you have both - I was trying to figure out a way to keep both but knew I couldn't. Only thing that won't change between both cars is that I'm still a child: |

Vid covers part of my favorite section at Sebring. From Cunningham (T10) to exit of Le Mans (T16) is fricking bliss if you get it all right.
