It’s amazing how many people that are new to cars like this are unaware of it. The question came up all the time in the GT350 forum as well. The dealers/manufacturers don’t go out of their to talk about either.

I always thought it was simple science. It isn't... difficult to explain but I found a way to after reading around for the best way to explain it. Check it out lol.

You didn't hear this from me but...
... ... I fucking hate digging. Shovels are so fucking horrible inventions. I fucking hate the fucking life I have, but I do have good news too! Clay, the blue kind sucks badly, but if you buy one of these: http://tuotteet.ramirent.fi/node/1837 You get a massage while you chop down the clay, you then have to shovel out but that makes it abt 793% faster. Don't fuck with my math or you're fucking flying over to lift my rock. So basically it's going great. I need a straw to my beer now since my hands don't work but I am a man so I will not complain! This project is so insane that when I blog this, I will absolutely skip this part. No way in hell would I admit to this.

So, something fun happened today.
Was with my friends at my dealership and my friend pointed out that I had, seemly, rub marks on my front bumper. I never noticed it before but I went to see and behold the damage was there. Had, NO clue how or when it actually happened but once I noticed it, I noticed it. It wasn't there a week prior on the 22nd when I was working on my car aka Modesta Maintenance. It happened between the 23th of August till now the 29th and I only driven my M3 out on the 24th to DTLA. Didn't notice it then but it could have happened then. Originally i thought it happened at the dealership, some careless fool hit me some how and drove off but the more I think about it now the less sense it made considering how the marks were left. Regardless, I immediately drove over from SGV to Orange County to my detailer because I believed most of the damage I saw were superficial and my clear bra defended most of the damage aside from one line mark that went a bit deep. After about 1 hour drive, I got there and he took about 5-10 minutes and cleared it up via buffing. He pointed out that the only possible damage is on the edge and maybe slightly under the front bumper might be a bit deformed but otherwise it was fine as the clear bra bore the brunt of the damage. I drove back to my dealership, which was another hour and I got them to review the camera. I wasn't able to see the video but my friend was inside looking at it with the GM and they told me no one hit my car. One truck came close but none else came close. I looked through my dashcam footage initially app wise and I noticed there wasn't any event noted there. Only me closing and opening the door, and when I was close to the car talking after I noticed the damage. I got home took another view through the computer to be certain and hope the smaller 16gb saved from my last trip in DTLA. Sadly it didn't, it saved the last bits but not when I was parked so I lost it. While the damage is... at the moment very minimal considering how bad it looked initially, I currently cannot file any report to the police for hit and run. Cannot file anything through insurance since it's pointless and way too much of a hassle. My best bet at the moment is to go to a body shop tomorrow, the same one that fixed and worked on the Macan S (when I got rear ended) and ask for their advice. I need to redouble tape my painted side markers and hopefully they can also maybe readjust a few things under my bumper but things look... okay. I don't like the fact that this happened but obviously could be far worse. Knock on wood but now every car in the family has been hit once, one way or another. Definitely won't help my paranoia of people parking near me.

Here is how it looks currently before I decide after visiting the body shop tomorrow. Crossing fingers for good news considering my day has been a massive crapshoot.

Sorry dude, that sucks, but at least the damage is pretty minor and it looks like the film did its job. Still a headache to deal with though.

Since, i won't post this on MB forums, I am sick and damn tired of MB keys failing.
2 of original keys already failed, we only have 1 key which was ordered when 1st one failed.

Lups Speaking of blog, is it possible for me to use your Peter and Christmas tree moving photo? One that is tied on top of the Peter.

You wearing some support - because that's pretty important for the first few days or so. But congrats on joining the snipped club, it takes the worry out of unplanned events happening! I did it last October, so still fresh in my head. |

I've climbed every fucking tree and fallen off from most of them. I've fallen off roofs, off of a cliff, been in a few crashes, trained dogs that can kill on command. I lived on roller skates. Hell, I've dug up a fucking house surrounding with a shovel and killed a tree in the process. I'm just trying to say that I'm way, way cooler than this injury shows! I want to say that! I broke my ribs with this fucking cold I'm dealing with. I fucking broke my ribs with a cough. A friend of mine bought me a get well gift, a shovel with the words " you have the experience, dig your own grave". I'm beginning to think I might not be as cool as I think I am.
