Oh I'm not surprised at all.. my car stickers at $80K. I just get a kick out of folks who feel like they deserve to buy such a car at <$60K, i.e. Corollas have LED headlights at half the price!!

Do you have more specifics? Are you saying that, generally speaking, when option code 490 is used in a BMW NA order guide it would correctly indicate that both adjustable seat width and lumbar support are included with that vehicle, but when it comes to the M3/M4 (and perhaps some select other models) this code is really only for adjustable seat width, while lumbar support is only present if 488 is also specified?

1. Full leather 2. Adaptive LEDs The executive and comp package are I think fairly priced for what you get... If you bear in mind I paid $47k for my 335i 4 years ago (and then added $8-9k in M Performance parts), I can swallow the $71k pill for a gorgeous M3 with those sexy 20" rims

Some people then got the value of a life time because they did indeed pay less than $60K...

Can someone just answer based on the ordering mumbo jumbo if you get lumbar support or not with ZCP seats. Seems like the answer is NO. I honestly don't care for the ZCP seat or wheels, just the other stuff. I have some lower back issues so lumbar support is extremely helpful on longish drives. I have a chance to add ZCP to my order which would be delayed three weeks so need to confirm if it's worth it for me. |

In typical BMW fashion, the general mysteriousness of the new seats leaves for some questions. In addition to the lumbar support, there are no pictures in upholstery choices other than black leather. I'd love to see what they look like when covered in Carbonstructure Cloth or Sakhir Leather. Or Golden Brown for that matter. |

The seats look a bit more narrower with upper bolsters looking pretty large but not sure if it's just a visual cue from the design. The lower bolsters look more aggressive as well but not sure if it's just the images because in pictures of the normal seats, they look identical. I have a chance to change my order but uncomfortable seats are a no-go for me. It was the primary reason I traded my Evo X. Those Recaros were awesome, but like sitting on a bench for longer drives and the lower bolster would dig into my sciatic nerve down my leg. Might just pass on this ZCP and do a Dinan S2 with a suspension and DCT retrofit. |

Of course the OEM retrofit costs $1200 + install, so you are not saving a huge amount of money. I see Bimmer-Tech has non-OEM backup cameras for $600 but i haven't looked into the differences.

You could always swap seats with a non-ZCP owner with low mileage - I'm sure there would be plenty of people willing. However, that would admittedly be a lot of trouble to go through. Quote:

So, on F80, F82 and F83 option 490 only includes seat width adjustment. However, on the E90, E92 and E93 it also included the lumbar support. |

Of course, it was always the most likely scenario that the seats didn't have any adjustable lumbar support, but it is well worth looking at the facts and having the conversation. |
