It wouldn’t surprise me that the Alfa’s would be higher with that Ferrari engine. Another reason I stayed away is it worried me a bit on the reliability front. I forget to ask the salesman about what looks like an extra caliper on the rear brakes. It looked more complicated than a regular brake setup.

Giulia, all trim including QV, have a maintenance cost that will hurt you. I'm pretty much going to take an educated guess without even looking at the Alfa SUV that it applies to that car too.

I am willing to do it with a Porsche because... well it's a Porsche. I cannot justify it on a basic Giulia trim let alone the Ti w/ the same freaken engine.

Yah no thanks. It unfortunately still looks like a bit of a shitshow.

I do hope they get it together because they do have an amazing car and I like competition. I think that is part of the reason the M3/4 has improved so much since 15 was because of the competition.

Yeah. Honestly it's good to have competition because it makes car company up their game.

Especially with 3er and M3, it is such an important symbol for BMW they cannot slack off.

I really, REALLY wanted to get a base Giulia and now I cannot justify the maintenance cost. If this only applied to the QV that is fine but to the base Giulia too? No way.

If I get a digger thingy there and pay the astronomical price for it and hide it all from the family and the SSOTT, can we just agree never to mention this hand digging thing failure again and we'll pretend my ankle lasted all the way through?

While we pretend my ankle will last this, we need to remember that when that's sore, I can't even drive because the left foot just stops working. One could claim that making 30 cm progress in four days might be getting to me, not that I'm admitting it.

There is a stone I need to remove. It's approximately 300 kg, the shape is so bad I've spent a few days digging for a space to lift it and I'M REALLY NOT DOING SO WELL! It was so stuck in the clay, it took two days to assess the situation and now I probably have to dig a pathway for it to be lifted.

I swear to coffee. This is a new low in my mildly insane projects. In other news, I've gained 8 kilos in the last two weeks so I guess my muscles are pumping up real hard. If Finland had a winter bikini season, I probably would have chances to have defined back muscles to show off!

So it's going really well. Hubby today came to my hole with the tiny dog, Rabies, and sat on my rock for an hour while I was having a break.

" You do realize the dog just peed on the rock? Why would you let him do that?"

"Freedom of expression honey! He is communicating his views on the project. Anyway, we are going for hamburgers and shakes. Wanna come?"

I married a fucking comedian.

Now, there are some good news!

I got about 20 meters to go, and then I can go and order a digger thingy and claim I was doing the historic side by hand just to - and this is important- preserve the original foundation which would not have endured well with a machine. There are some issues with that claim but the new wing is 16 meters long, and 15 meters wide, with big tree stomps and if I'm bitching now, imagine what that would do to me!

So we are going to call this preserving historic methods and if shit hits the fan, we can always use words like "100 year old concrete foundation and vibrations could do damage."

I'm working on the excuses. This has been beyond idiotic but my shoulder muscles seem to like the work. I also bought myself steel cap landing boots for this so at least I'm getting some girly points for this.

But, the manual and BMW doing excellent discounts/helping us end the 428 lease early swayed us. I also was a beta tester for Ford and the GT350/Voodoo, I wasn't going to do it for Alfa. A couple of things were already not working on the test drive.

I bet! I thought about both of those routes (and a Panamera, CTS V, AMG E43/63, Audi S6, 7 and RS7). In the wasn’t ready for three things just yet, a car that big, auto and the payment size to go them. I would love the straight line speed and luxury, but ultimately thought I’d get bored quickly with them. Plus I do want to retire before 60.

I am researching for a euro delivery of one in 2020. My idea is when my daughter starts playing college soccer the wife and I will drive to the away games. The M4 is a bit rough for those long drives. May hedge towards the M550i due to cost and tires etc.

I only got maybe a 6 mile drive...I think I made the salesman a little nervous...then I told him I had a M4 and he relaxed a bit. But at $133k it was a bit over the top. I don't need $8600 brake add.

My retirement goal is 10 yrs. unless someone wants to buy the business now...always for sale for the right price

My friend and I got into the BMW VIP event for the UDE near my area so I will get my chance to drive the F90 M5. My friend who is a SA, said she drove the new M5 and even in comfort mode the car actually scared her and she drives pretty aggressively too so, that kind of already showed me the M5 is probably not for the faint of heart.

I'm not scared by my M3 or my previous M4, not really ever had a car that scared me so I'll see if this is the case with the F90 next Tuesday.

I got the winches out to lift the rock.

It went really well, until it didn't.

Who knew lifting a badly shaped (almost round for fucks sake!) rock could require more man power than a defeaded bitch can offer!

Anyway, I bravely decided to add some mild additional defeats to dig a room for it. If I move it away from the near foundations to a meter away, it's done.

I consider myself to be smart but today after a few failures, my favorite was when Canada attecked me!!!!, It came to me that I might have been wrong all my life.

You and I might not be the shining experts of botany, but I've been cutting down maples for a week. They're hard fibre trees, but they break easily. With that intro, guess what tree I was using for my winching endeavor?

So, just to make sure you all get a clear picture of all of my success: the stone is a bitch, I decided to lift it up, almost dropped it on myself when I went back down to my hole to make sure the ropes were secure, and after that fiasco, the y- shaped tree I was using to lift it, decided to split in half and joining the party of failures.

Oh, I was saving time and didn't get more ropes which were like 20 cm short so I didn't put the ropes around all of the stomp. That worked out for me.
