I'm confused is 11.5 better or 12 better?
I have both 325 on 11.5 in the past and currently have 12. 11.5 doesn't rub but 12 will rub a bit. I think 11.5 is better for firmest but 12 looks badass
Thanks a bunch amazing feedback right there

Why not 25? That 30 sidewall seems too big

325 on a 12 will def rub. I'm running a 305 and had to max out camber and stretch a bit

Only 3 sizes in Cup 2 R. It'll end up 1 inch diameter front and rear - still not sure if the front will rub....

It's comical what this will do to the handling dynamics. Surprised nobody mentioned it, but I guess most of us don't drive the car that way.

I am pushing probably north of 150 WHP more than stock, you guys think the extra rubber in the back will help tame the beast on a track?

This is so dang cool. But with the Tires, HREs, and MP HAS, you have spent enough money to by a Porsche. J/k love the stance.

Any word on rubbing? Get the wheel off yet? Also after looking at the HRE website how did you get a -47 offset? I dont even seen that listed as an option. Not that I can afford anything close to 2300 per wheel but just curious how you went about getting that offset.

20's are useless on the track and likewise are PS4S's. I prefer a 19x9.5 with a star spec 265/35 PSC2 and for rear grip, a 19x11 with a 305/30 N (Porsche spec) PSC2. 18's would likely have greater track potential aside from they won't fit over CCB's.

Agreed but I am willing to bet this car will never see a track. So your point is moot.

HRE forged wheels are custom so you pick the diameter, width and offset, and concavity of the face. If your getting three-piece wheels then you also select the width of the outer and inner barrel. The $2300 price is the starting price - diameter, type of finish, and center caps increase the price; however, you will not pay MSRP and you can find better deals if you get quotes from multiple vendors.

HRE Flow Form wheels have fixed width and offsets. I have a set of HRE forged R101LW and flow form FF15 wheels for my F82.

You’re having trouble with 305s? I’m running PS4S and PSC2 305/30-19 on HRE R101LW 19x11et40 with 1.8 deg of negative camber and have zero rubbing issues thru the full range of suspension travel. My car is also lowered with a MCS 2WR suspension setup and the top of 305s are at the same height as the top of the rear wheel fender arch.

"Useless" is kind of a strong word. You can perfectly go out and track your car with the stock 20s and P4Ss. Are there better options? Of course! But there are plenty worse too! It all depends on your skill level and what you want from the car, but again I wouldn't say "useless".

Remember too the M4GTS comes with 20 stock in the rear. Just saying.

BTW Love the look! Didn't mean to divert

Okay, but you said "you guys think the extra rubber in the back will help tame the beast on a track?

That said, there's faster track options than what you've chosen.

But the OP's car isn't stock. It's had money spent on options that'll minimise it's track performance is the point I'm making.

BMW took the 20" front wheels off the CS and GTS to minimise understeer that's inherent with a low profile 20" front tyre.

The race versions of road cars M4 GT4, Porsche GT3's etc don't run the low profile street size tyres and all use smaller wheels and taller sidewall tyres.

I think we both agree, and the way you worded it here is a lot better.

I'm not a fan of using words like useless or speaking in such a polarizing way when its not case, you know some forum noob will read this post and think he can't track the car because he is running P4s and 20s which is absolutely not true.

30+ years in motorsport engineering leads me to save people wasting money on options that won't work efficiently on the track. I've seen many "noobs" spend a fortune on modifications to end up with a car 2 secs slower than a stock one when their aim was making it faster. Spending a lot of money on a car that doesn't work properly largely contributes to many withdrawing from track events disappointed with the bang they've received for their buck spent. The legal repercussions of speeding in Australia, you can't enjoy the performance of an M car on the street with the fear of getting busted and the track is the right place to do it, but it also emphasises the weak links in a car primarily configured for street use, like tyres and brake pad inefficiency.

Personally, I think a set of designated track wheels and tyres is essential for anyone who regularly tracks their car with decent set of brake pads first and foremost. That said, I've seen many buy a killer set of big brakes with street pads and still suffer brake fade after 3 hard stops where decent pads in the stock brakes would have been a far better and massively cheaper option.

Big wheels and low profile "street" tyres is a common error of many where the right tyres and brakes is the greatest base modification to result in faster lap times. The last modification is engine power after you've maximised tyres, brakes and suspension.
