Wah, how are you liking your MPerformance HAS kit? I just got an estimate to get this installed and they came back with $1500. I thought that was pretty steep. How does that compare to what you paid if you don’t mind my asking.

Good. Adaptation, improvisation. But his weakness is not his technique.

Love it, totally happy with it... Is that $1500 the price of the kit installed? because the kit itself is around $1200. Most dealerships charge around $800-$1k to install.

No, I'm showed them that I can get the kit for $1260 shipped with the hardware and they put on the estimate $1550 for that.

They want $1500 just to install and another $200 on top for alignment.

Do you get a reacharound with that? Jeez...

Do you want a copy of my receipt from Thompson BMW? Maybe it will help although my price includes a 15% labor discount (they are a club sponsor). The other thing you can do is bring it to an indy performance shop... Should be closer to $500, although you won't get a warranty on the parts.

I know right! This is one of the best indy shops in town.

If you could I would very much appreciate that.

Wah, thanks again for the help. I'm actually going to go through my old dealer that I haven't been to in a while. They are at $715 for labor and $238 for corner balance/alignment. Considerably better obviously. They want $1426 for the MP HAS Kit, but I'm seeing if they'll match getBMW's price. If so I'll bring it in next week!

I'm also adding some Dinan parts, the rear toe links and the front mono ball tension joint while I'm at it.

Oh me too. I've built more wall than trump this spring so I don't fuck around with pussies these days.

Oh, btw, the lovely lady situation has been solved. She no longer serves as a contacts liaison or the money dude for either class I had a kid in and she got busted for lying so much her kid is changing schools.

The funniest part is that no parent was in no way mean to her kid, after she parted from the group, the rest of us agreed that nobody talks about the family in a bad light to their children.

It is funny though the usual gang (on BP and in public) are celebrating the Mueller report as a victory for Trump and co. Now with it released it just shows how much dirtier he is IMO and how he barely escaped being charged with a crime. If a sitting President can be charged, which is up for much debate. But, he is still President (and not even close to being impeached anymore) so that is all his supporters and most Repubs care about.

How is Brexit going over there?

That was a great summary lol

Brexit is going well, straight to hell but at least it keeps it's direction!

I love the politics sub - it's so entertaining. Watching each side entrench themselves further...it is fascinating to observe. Especially when you have no real skin in the game.

What is even more fascinating is that neither side seems correct to me...somewhere in the middle, but neither seems interested in going there. Rather, they are moving away from it (as I said above, entrenching deeper) and it is just causing a further divide.

If one side gave a little, the other side might too. Like acknowledging the media is biased against Trump. Then maybe the other side would be a bit quicker to agree that Trump is pretty far from a wonderful person and maybe hold him a little more accountable. I don't know...interesting to observe though. Like people think this is a zero sum game.

Thank May for that - keeping it on course. I agree with her trying to make it happen and I feel for her. At least she's doing what she was elected to do and trying to do what the majority told her to do. But she's bearing the brunt of everyone's blame on both sides. Not an enviable position at all.

Though I suspect a second referendum would render a very different result. But sort of calls into question the point of doing any referendums anymore, if the political party will just keep doing them over and over until they get the response they want. Caught in a tough position.

The thing that Trump did to the Republican party is move it to the party of him. I never voted for a Dem President until he came along. It wasn't because of any love for Hillary trust me. Had there been any other Rebub nominee besides him I most likely would've voted for them.

With Trump running the Republican party now and if his brand survives after he is gone there will be no give and take at all. And if the the rise of AOC's brand takes over the Dem party there will be no give and take on their part either. There already was very little of it left after the Slick Willie and the Bush 2 years. It got cemented on the Republican side during the Obama years and now the Trump years have cemented it on the Dems side.

The result is it sucks for the US and countries that do business with us or depend on the US as Allies. Because there will be no consistency from Repub to Dem administration going forward as each will look to completely undo the previous administrations supposed "evils."

A very good point. You are right - there will be much less room for give and take. And with the focus on undoing the previous administration, will there be the necessary focus to move America ahead globally and domestically?

Or will other nations move ahead and this is the beginning of the fall for the American empire? All empires crumble eventually...not so sure this is it, but certainly interesting to observe.
