1. Front camera It's funny having a vehicle loaded with 6 cameras in total and leaving front one out. 2. Real dual auto climate control, the one from E38, E39 days where you choose which went to operate and auto climate stays active, adjusting desired temperature and fan speed accordingly (it will go full fan speed on its own if needed, and really good when it's cold, starts slow until engine warms up enough to go full blast and heat the cabin in few seconds). I expected that in this generation since 1996 was long time ago and that comfort level should be here. Current one is a joke and pretty much the only auto thing it does, it activates vents I don't wanna use... 3. Thicker steering wheel I had 335is before this one and that one was the perfect size. Year later and I still find this one too big in diameter and not thick enough. I do love it's finally heated but that option goes away if I ever switch to performance wheel. I know it sounds like M5 is better choice for me but I do love size and performance of an M4 |

My F82 has that! Always a talking point for new passengers. I think it comes as part of the Active Safety Pack.

I understand, but we're in a time period of ultra-dilution of all brands in the name of eeking out every last cent from consumers, and I don't see it changing anytime soon. That involves some levels of mass appeal. Even purists here expect certain standard features at this price point.

Fixed back CF bucket seats, front camber plates, multi mode stability control that isn’t intrusive and is a true drive aid, front camera and data logger built in, higher level of steering feel, better sounding exhaust

Front camera and more noise dampening for road noise.
With the low lip front camera should be standard. I want to hear the exhaust, but don’t need to hear the road noise. |

I shouldn't have to pay $30k-$40k more and step up to a longer, wider, heavier car just to get a few more comfort/premium options. That's ridiculous.

I checked out the other comments, and everyone wants to throw in all of these unnecessary luxo barge features (LOL ventilated seats)
Too bad for m3 having to satisfy so many types of customers. I wish they used “m”340 to load up those luxo stuffs (same money, but lesser Perfomance and more luxury and weight) and make m3 closer to an all out sports car that disregards commuting comfort for lapping excellence. M3cs needs to be the standard m3, and m4 gts need to drop below gt3 pricing, and actually tie or beat a gt3 lap times |

It would be nice if BMW and BMWNA allowed more customization like Porsche does. But, I also get why they don't to keep costs down. BMW has a tough job to satisfy many people and I'm very curious what this "Pure" version will be like. I was also just giving a friend of mine shit that has 340 xDrive. He says he is all in when they go AWD for the M3. But, it's coming and people want it so BMW will bring it. I could see them doing a bare bones M2 for the track and the M3 will be even more like an M5. |
