Reason For Selling:
Some lessons are learned the hard way, and it took two M3s for me to realize that a nice car isn't for me. I absolutely loved this M3 as I took delivery and drove it home, but as I washed for the first time, it struck me that my OCD was going to kill me when it comes to keeping the car clean (even water spots are enough to push me over the edge), worrying about it's safety when parked, rock chips, etc. I am just not the type to comfortably own a car of this magnitude. I should have learned with my last M3, which I sold because I wanted to order the Atlantis color, but now that I like this one so much it dawned on me that anything I admire to this level is going to drive me crazy maintaining, protecting, etc. I know that many people thankfully do not react this way to owning a nice car, and that is the type of person who can thoroughly enjoy having a vehicle like this in their life. It really is an amazing machine, looks stunning in Atlantis (no picture can capture Atlantis properly; just ask anyone who owns the color), and if I could shut down my obsessive emotions I would keep it. But I can't. I'll stick to cheap cars that I have no attachment to, as I need to focus my mind and heart on other aspects of life instead of investing so much energy in worrying about a car. It is not the way I wanted this purchase to end, but as humiliated as I feel right now listing this, it's better to admit my mistake today than delay the inevitable and suffer with anxiety over what I hoped would be a highlight of my life.

Condition:
- NEW condition
- The car has only 854 miles
- Garage kept
- Still in break in, followed perfectly by me, the only driver
- Car was never driven with traction control off or even in MDM mode
- The car smells new

Warranty:
Factory BMW warranty until 6/18/22

Summary:
As I wrote when I sold my LSB M3 last year, the M3 is by far the best vehicle I have ever owned or driven, and the 6MT is amazing. The MPE is a must have option to bring out the sporty exhaust noise. Atlantis Metallic is FANTASTIC and must be seen in person to be appreciated; it is the best color in my opinion for this car. The black and carbon parts fit perfectly with Atlantis. I can put anyone in touch with the guy who purchased my LSB M3, as he will vouch that my last car was in perfect condition, and this will be as well.

Financing:
Someone on this forum told me that BMW may allow finance loan takeovers on a case-by-case basis. He said that you need to call BMW Financial, give them the VIN and your credentials, and they may approve a finance takeover. I have 1.9% financing through BMW Financial for this car, so if anybody wants to try and assume the loan, please feel free.

Any questions? Please contact me. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY.

Really think you should PPF and ceramic coat the vehicle. I have the hood and bumper w ppf and have great piece of mind. Unfortunately the rest of the vehicle drives me nuts.

Doood....thats so sad, but I kinda get it. Our car is going to PPF and Ceramic coat and then....I guess we will just have to live with it. When our car came into the dealer our salesman told us that people were coming up to him that work there and customers asking what we were going to do with the car, when he said Daily Drive it they all had shocked looks on their faces. So I get it.

For anyone that has not seen Atlantis in person, you HAVE to see it to appreciate it, pictures just do not do it justice.

Good luck with the sale.

Beautiful spec. One of my favorite, if not most, favorite color on this car. Would love to see it on a M4.

I can relate. In 7 months I have only 626 miles and have not taken it to work (60 mile round trip). My DD has been hit 4 times by idiots and so I'm mindful of that. After 2 drives I wipe the car down with quick detailer and cover it up. The same goes for my Lotus. Well, actually it's worse. It's very particular and temperamental.

I would be worried about parking, etc as you are, but it will wear off. You'll get used to it and it won't bother you as much. I think you should keep the car longer. If you love the car, then don't sell it.

Thank you so much. Yes, in person it is more stunning than any picture can grasp. I felt opposite of when I picked up my last M3, as Atlantis Metallic made such an impression on me with both the color and how aggressive the car looked in that color that I fell for it instantly. Only someone who is OCD about a purchase of this magnitude could understand how difficult it can be to live in peace. It made it worse for me when I liked the car as much as I did after taking delivery and driving it home from the Performance Center, because I became more concerned over its safety, cleanliness, etc. If I had millions and this was like purchasing a Corolla, it may not impact me as much but I think the combination of how much I like the car and the overall investment combine to make it stressful.

I have considered keeping it, so since posting the ad have gone back and forth. Yet, as it is now I am on the sell side. I know that if I keep it I'll need to coat it like I did the last one, do clear bra for at least the impact parts, and fear over parking. Just seems like more stress I am not thrilled with experiencing. As I mentioned earlier, many people don't think twice about any of this so cannot relate, or they aren't taxed to the level I and some others are to where the car becomes somewhat of an albatross to living a comfortable day-to-day life.

I am the same. I drove the car for at least 2-3 weeks with blue tape all over before i got PPF. Parking: i always wait for a curb or end spot. Depending how uncomfortable i am with the spot i will actually try and look out to see it from within the store/restaurant. But all this work and trouble and anxiety is worth it every time i look at the car, sit in it and drive. Don't sell. I know you will regret it.

I go back and forth on the idea of keeping and selling because I really do love everything about the car, but I feel that if I set myself up better financially to where I don't need to worry so much I can buy an M3 in the future and not be concerned with everything that crosses my mind now. To PPF the entire car helps with peace of mind, but there's significantly more money spent that I didn't account for going in, so I think investing/saving additional funds first will make it a more comfortable ownership experience for me. I definitely want the [needless] stress free life above all else.

Is the M3 your only car?

You don't have to cover the whole car in PPF. You can start with the major impact areas (front bumper, half the hood, rocker panels, wheel arches). It cost me about $1800 to do the M3, but I had a lot of smaller pieces put in.

Even if the issue were money, you'd still feel the same worry, IMHO. It's just how we are. It's more to do with keeping it original and untouched and undamaged. That would just piss me off. Especially the time and effort to keep it clean. Not the money, because insurance will cover it.

For example, my Lotus was hit twice. Once from an idiot in a Merc ML that didn't see me right next to him coming to a stop at a traffic light. I was damn lucky that he hit my rear wheel. Only thing was tiny curb rash on the outer edge of the wheel that was fixed with air brush. Unfortunately, the finish didn't quite match due to the flake. Only I would notice in strong sunlight up close. I made the mistake of letting the guy do the whole lip instead of just the spots. That would have looked virtually unnoticeable.

Next was me backing into a pipe against a wall that took a pinky nail size piece of the clearcoat. For a long time I ran a piece of tape on it to prevent dirt from getting in until I figured out what to do. I took to Galpin Auto Sports and they said use touch up paint! Really? So, I called one of these mobile paint guys that was highly recommended. This dude sanded a section like 100 times the size of the damage. I should have asked what and how he was going to fix it. I was pissed because after he was done, the paint/clear didn't match and looked cloudy. It wasn't after a while that it got better, but I can still see it. Also there's a sharp crease right above the damage that he sanded, but failed to keep the line sharp. If you look close you will see. It's fucking unbelievable and pisses me off every time [I see it]. The only reason I hit it was I had a new ACT clutch and light flywheel installed and you could not feather the clutch. Basically on/off. So the shop guy is helping me back out and doesn't tell me you're close to the wall so with a quick jab of the throttle I smack the pipe. The hit was hard enough where I thought I'd cracked the rear fiberglass clam. If that happened I was going to sell the car because I had gone through a lot of bullshit with the tuning and modding. Very frustrated at that time. The carbon diffuser was damaged, the exhaust tip smacked, but hammered back round. I wrote to show that things will happen even if you are super careful, etc. A lot of things are out of your control. When I think about all that happened, if I took a few simple steps or asked questions, I would have avoided pretty much all that happened. But such is life.

If you have nice cars, there will always be stress. This is what I'm saying. The only way we won't is if we buy a shitbox and leave it stock. lol
